Communication Diagram in Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect

In the toolbox you have Associate available in 2 places. I dont have the Class Relationships sub section even though I am in UML / Behavioural perspective. I only have Associate available in the Communication Relationships sub section. When I mimick your actions using that Associate, I receive an error: The requested connection is not UML Compliant. Not sure what is going on and why the difference between our toolbox views.

Shouldn't the components be dropped as "Lifeline" on the Sequence Diagram, instead of as "Link"? Or doesn't it matter?
