Spawn

Ce n'est quand même pas bien banal, il faut le reconnaître, de pouvoir recevoir à quelques mois d'intervalle un aussi grand créateur que Todd McFarlane. Le papa de Spawn est pourtant bel et bien de retour dans nos colonnes en ce début d'année 2024 ! En cause : l'arrivée prochaine de Spawn #350 et la sortie sur les prochains mois d'une dizaine de titres qui avaient été annoncés depuis la New York Comic Con de l'an passé.
Nous avons donc l'immense plaisir de vous proposer cette longue discussion (une bonne heure) avec Mc Farlane où il sera surtout question de processus créatif et de gestion éditoriale. I think Spawn is pretty much done. And I don't mean that it's going away. But in terms of reaching it's peak and how far it could go. It's pretty much stretched to the limit. The movie isn't happening, and its mostly money made from his toy company that's keeping Spawn publishing alive and not the books. Question is how much longer can he do this? Todd's not young anymore and Spawn is independently owned.

We did an interview also in october 2023 and he told at that time that he always wanted Spawn to outlive him so I guess he will do what needs to be done to achieve that goal ?
