@@hubertdrapeau yeah man that riff is insanely hard. I love watching Dean's videos. It was crazy that when I was learning Inferi's the Ancients of Shattered Thrones their 4 levels of death metal for Inferi video came out. The level 4 riff was from that song lol. I don't even know how to hybrid pick and I kinda botched that section of the song. It's really crazy. Maybe if I tried to learn it again now a few years later I'd do a little better, but I probably won't haha.

I’ve actually tried to learn that one a couple times but never saw it through. Learned a minute or so of it before with the first solo that’s posted on my insta. I actually just recently sold this guitar, which I regret, but nothing I can about it now. So I don’t have a 7 string anymore. Thanks for the comment though!

+James Moran Thanks man! I don't know how specific you want me to be, but I'm just running a simple interface (line 6 ux1) through Reaper. The FX chain I used from top to bottom: Pod farm noise gate, tse 808 v2 (tube screamer vst), Ignite amp sim vst Emissary v1, Recabinet 4, an eq and then a compressor. There's a little bit of pod farm reverb and sometimes I'll use a little bit of pod farm delays as well.
