Nice cover, this song has just enough in the way of traditional classical harmony and melodic structure to hold the listeners hand as it dives head first into sheer dissonant madness, its awesome. It reminds me of Schoenberg's early quartets in that sense.

Thank you! But I don't really know, I think I had a harder time learning this song, definitely took me longer with learning the solos this time around.. Could be because I'm busier right now than when I learned Apparition. For amp stuff I scrambled a bunch of line 6 and free vst's together, I lost what I was using before for my tone with Reaper when I updated my computer months ago.

@adamcantalupo Hi Adam, I've been working diligently to figure out this song from your video and I know it's a lot to ask but, Do you have a recording of your guitars guitars without the backing track some of The power chords parts with the pinch harmonics,really struggling to hear the separation there so damn fast. Thanks
@AdamCantalupo2 жыл бұрын
Hey man, I get that struggle! It's hard trying to figure out songs from videos. Unfortunately, I don't believe I have the file anymore. Ultimate-guitar has a really good guitarpro tab for this song that's still up. It's what I used to learn it and pretty much (tried to) play exactly what was on the tab.

@@AdamCantalupo Wow, that's impressive! I used to jam the Evangelist tab through Guitar Pro (with all the guitars switched to piano lol) and it looked insanely difficult. I was glad to see you covered the solo as well. How did you learn guitar btw? Lessons, self-taught, or a combination of the two?
@AdamCantalupo4 жыл бұрын
@@metalhead252525 I took lessons from an older neighbor for a couple years. They were really casual though. It was almost like I was guided in learning techniques, and I learned modes that I now completely forget lol. But he asked me what I wanted to learn, and being 12 years old I was not into learning theory, I just wanted to shred...but now I wish I would have learned more of that, but hindsight lol. The lessons eventually just started becoming him checking out the songs I was learning. Once I stopped jamming with him I kept playing and learning on my own. I'm very grateful for the time I spent playing with him, so if you ever see this Barry thank you! You're the shit!

@adamcantalupo Wow Adam, this is proving very difficult,question for you about tuning ,it looked like you were playing in a dropped tuning at times ,could you please spell out the tuning? Is it BEADGBE?
@AdamCantalupo3 жыл бұрын
If I remember correctly, one guitar is BEADGBE and the other is BEADGBbE or something like that. Some of the power chords do look like a dropped tuning but they’re still tuned to standard b.
