@@lableak4165 I can believe that. I would tho be completely content with a very technical band that only do studio stuff, it's very hard to come by tech death that's this competent. Edit: On that notion, I would totally watch a live show of this where the intent was to showcase the skill of the band. No moshing, no headbanging, no nothing, more of an opera vibe. All numbered seats, no standing spots, with great acoustics. This is fucking art and it deserves to be treated as such.
@Israelpwn
@Israelpwn 2 жыл бұрын
@@wolvie90 I have to disagree. Moshing and headbanging is so much more engaging and entertaining than just sitting there. You can always choose to listen from the side, without getting involved physically. And it's not like people mosh on stage and distract the band members. I've been to a few events with seating, and it's just so ... stale.

I'm yet to see another album that even comes close to the level of perfection and intricacy of this masterpiece. Obscura would be second with Akroasis, but not Incurso level of tight melodic rhythm patterns.

I would say first Necro album is more distinct in sheer brutality of riffs, rather than melodic-wise (apart from solos obviously). Also why I much prefer Onset of putrefaction over Epitaph. I think recently Archspire managed to somewhat get both brutality and melodic aspects together.

Definitely the best example of the modern sound, it's actually distinctly separated from the oversaturated tech death market. The production here is fantastic, and there's memorable moments throughout, with genuine energy, only other band that comes close stylistically is Archspire (not counting the older bands like Gorod, Anata, and early Psycroptic)

One of the best. Together with Noctambulant, Focus, Scepter of the Ancients, Unquestionable Presence and Winds of Creation (not that technical, but still strong one). Also Defeated Sanity last prog/ tech effort Dharmata is worth mentioning, amazing work.
@2000Doriyas

Scepters of the Ancients counts as tech death? Then you'd have to put None So Vile in there, which would definitely be the ultimate album in that genre. As far as modern post-2010 this album really hits the high-water mark even though it's not as filthy as the classics

Tony Echeverría. honestly no joke, i think ur right. deathmetal or some other types of metal have a lot in common with classical music, the structure is where i think u could really define the two genres. There was also a sub genre of classical called "free" i believe. where there is no structure or overall key to the music. so also in that aspect i can see where beethoven would fuckimg LOVE thjs music. Also metal in general has ALWAYS progressed into something different, even in the 80s - 90s, it was always evolving. i think thats why there is so many metal sub genres, and people fight over where the original metal should of progressed too. some people think bands like Lamb of God is where it turned into something new, other people think of the band "death" is where metal evolved into something better n than other bands like Decapitated took the influences and evolved it more. Its a very interesting topic and i would love to think what other metalheads think was the right road metal evolved too. Cause at the end of the day, i think its whatever the individual prefers!
