The sad thing is that it's not worth attacking or defending the Intergalactic trailer because it had no gameplay, has no prior credentials aside from Naughty Dog's name (which isn't enough imo), and thus has nothing to indicate that the game will be good. If the game sucks, then all the defenses towards it will be rendered pointless. If the game is good, then all the attacks towards it will be rendered pointless. And in my experience, it's easier to just assume the game will be bad until you actually play it.

But when the arguments are pointed directly at Naughty Dog for choosing an average looking person of color as their project's next protagonist, then the attacks become much more insidious. At the very least, if you're going to play the dullard and look at this issue from a purely objective point-of-view, then there should be some concern of how public vitriol and agenda pushing could affect the narrative and artistic direction of games in the future.

Heres the Backlash. Interglatic has Neil Druckmann involved in the games project & they turned off comments of the trailer. TLOU2 was poorly recieved by users. Many are suspecting a forced likeability of the main protagonist with poor writing & I'd say its character design is very much like a cookie-cutter of Ripley from Temu. I will say this though, Intergalactic may get away with its Visuals and Gameplay.

I saw that reddit Switch 2 leak thread and was tempted to post it in the discord but at last second said no. People are tired of all the speculation/leaks/rumors talk and just want the real thing instead of commenting on rumors... I don't blame them. When Switch 1 was fully revealed it was back in Jan 14, 2017... I suspect we will see a similar thing around similar time in 2025 for the Switch 2's reveal... basically making sure people are back from their Holidays.

I don't know. Intergalactic seems like a generic title. The main character's personality appears to be from the space bounty hunter starter kit. The lady with the eye patch feels kinda silly and extra. The fake anime playing. It just feels like it's trying too hard. At least from the initial trailer. I feel like this game is going to end up a few years out of date. That retro futurist esthetic, if you don't nail it completely, it's going to look tacky. Guardians of the galaxy already managed this and that came out like three years ago. Excellent game.

They're just looking for any excuse to shit post about the game because Naughty Dog is developing it. Even in the YT comets of the Pet Shop Boys song that comes out at the end of the trailer they were complaining that Naughty Dog is "plagiarizing" this song. 🤪

I’m not a fan of how Jon refuses to read people’s full usernames out loud… there’s only so many people that will troll with their names and it’s not very time-consuming to read it out loud once off-air to check if it sounds inappropriate or not It creates a gap between him and his audience that doesn’t need to be there and incentivizes us to not engage as much. This is a bizarre take. Concord failed because it was a cookie-cutter hero shooter with nothing original to offer at 40$ while Overwatch 2 is free. You have it backwards. The people down voting Intergalactic are gamers expressing their disapproval with the path that Naughty Dog is on, thanks to Neil Druckmann. These are the same gamers who loved Uncharted and were blown away by The Last of Us, and then were seriously disappointed by The Last of Us Part 2. These are the same gamers who want to buy Intergalactic, but don't want to support Naughty Dog in its current state. On the other hand, the people Naughty Dog is virtue signaling to are the people who aren't gamers and won't buy the game.

bayonetta 1/2 is a fun action game that i can go back to yearly and truly enjoy myself with. can't say for the last of us 2. some of us actually care about the gameplay, instead of using every aesthetic aspect as a strawman to own the incels in your mind. Neil Druckman's philosophy towards the women in his game is so misogynistic and scornful, that im not surprised that dullards like you are able to twist it into some progressive message you need to hold the line with.
