I can highly recommend (!) the Reed Geek "Double Geek" scraper for the tip. It's the gentlest, most precise scraper for the tip you can find. Great video!!

Izanna A worn diamond sharpening stone, and a fine sharpening stone for your knive(s).2000 to 5000 grit stones (larger the better) Knowledge of the burr on your knife. A cutting block. A flat plaque. Razor blades GOOD lighting. A well maintained oboe. A good teacher :)

I sure wish the camera angle was zoomed in on the reed from behind your shoulder at times so we could actually see what you are doing more of the time.
