Thank you for this post. I can attest to this. You look into the mirror and tell the person looking back at you who you are. the rest is working into that vocation. I am an artist. I am a photographer. Etc. Note that word into- it requires a verb, and that is the action you take toward what you voiced as who you are. Our words "in" and "into" come from the same Latin word which embraced both noun and verb. When the real. clerics say they believe in ___. They know they are daily believing "into". I'm so glad someone else is on this path and journey. Thank you.

Hi, Steve. This is a very interesting video, friend. There's a lot of truth in it. You can very easily bring yourself down through negativity in talking about your work. I have been taking photographs for almost 35 years now and have never heard anyone talk about photography like that. Although I am not a professional photographer, I am disabled which gives me many limitations, I try to approach my work with a lot of positivity. And that indeed has had a great influence on my work. I mainly work in black and white and that is a forgotten technique these days. I have learned to develop my own work and make prints of it. Doing this and getting that magic feeling as the image emerges on paper gives a great sense of satisfaction. And this feeling is much less with me now, simply because everything has become digitized. And people who have not lived through the analog era do not recognize this feeling. I get this feeling when I have finished a photo and it has turned out exactly as I imagined it. Then those itches come back. You have a very interesting channel and I will definitely continue to follow you, my friend. Greetings from the Netherlands, Antoine.

stay positive Antoine. I started with film in 1984. I have a Hasselblad 500CM 50th anniversary edition that i bought new when i was 21. was my main camera until 2004. these days the industry is digital. i'm a working pro so i do as the industry does. it's not the process it's the work. that's all that matters. i'm glad we found each other. thanks for writing.
