I Built this heavily #modified #modular speak and spell a few years ago, and never properly finished it and sadly it just got more and more broken, i borrowed all of the relays from it once and never got it up and running again. till today!
Massive file of sounds from this performance of isolated speak and spell go check over here, needless to say it also Supports these endeavours and you get a name on a knob!! :- / lookmumnocomputer
FOR AMAZING speak and spell modification info check out. casper electronics. i cant seem to find much if anyo0ne knows where there is an online repository of his stuff before he lost his website! please comment below

For isolated speak and spell audio, with samples and loops galore check here :- www.patreon.com/lookmumnocomputer not to mention a name on a knob of the 1000 oscillator megadrone :D. I DID ANOTHER VIDEO LOOKING INTO THE BACK OF IT kzbin.info/www/bejne/bmjMmmmOnrBjgas CASPER ELECTRONICS www.casperelectronics.com/ does anyone have a working link??? had a few cinnents about protection diodes on the relay transistors! indeed. a worthwhile addition if you dont want to burn out transistors, however that being said! i have been doing it the wrong way for many years and use the same circuit nearly daily in multiple modules on my modular, and dare i say it i have never had a transistor go pop on me. once a relay died, but not a transistor. So you can either do it the right way or the wrong way. in the end of the day it aint flying people to the moon! it isnt even making nice music, its a noise machine :)

Amazing video. A+. I've already started my own sega mega drive (have the megadrive, catskull midi, and all of the parts, just need to assemble but I am waiting on new activated carbon filters). This has made me really want to build the speak and spell breakout! Is there anyway that sometime in the future you could release another video like the "Sega Megadriver Synthesizer In Depth Look" video and put out the arduino/other hardware layouts (or a closeup video) and software involved? I can't speak for everyone, but I certainly would love to see more so that I could better grasp what to do! Either way, whether you decide to put more out or not, you've once again done your job and made me not afraid to try it!

I just want to say from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU FOR DOING ANOTHER VIDEO! If I wasn't on disability living in section 8 I'd try and be as helpful to you as you are to me and so many others. Maybe one day I'll make it out of where I am, and if I do, you will be on top of the list to those I owe and will find a way to thank that is meaningful. Watch all of your videos. You made me believe I could do it, and over the years I've learned to solder and I've learned to source and... well I could go on and on but you've helped me every step of the way and I really wanted to say thank you!

If you do not accept there are billions of things we do not know, we will not try to learn. If you do not examine yourself as a person, you will not grow. If you do not critique the environment you are in, it will stifle the lives of everyone in it. Only through admitting faults can we start to become what we think we were when we didn't acknowledge those faults.

@@gorillaau I can imagine. First time I ever heard an "Australian" accent was on the Royal Guardsmen version of Tie Me Kangaroo Down on a kids record. When Mad Max was first released in the United States, it was dubbed into American "English". Never heard the original until a Special Edition DVD in 2002!
