Wow, I have studied English since I was very young. I have spent countless hours of hard study with grammar, phonetics, syntax, etc. I have learned to use the standard pronunciation key of English dictionaries and I can say that I understand, write, read, and speak English quite well, but this overwhelms me. I think I need to study more, or travel more or learning different skills. Very good video though.

Languages evolve through a combination of processes, including: 1. **Phonological Changes:** Pronunciations of words and sounds can change over time due to shifts in speech patterns. 2. **Lexical Changes:** New words are coined, while old words may fall out of use or change in meaning. 3. **Grammatical Changes:** Grammatical structures can evolve, such as the simplification or complexification of sentence constructions. 4. **Semantic Shift:** The meanings of words can shift over time, often due to cultural or societal changes. 5. **Borrowing:** Languages borrow words and phrases from other languages, which can lead to the enrichment of vocabulary. 6. **Societal and Cultural Factors:** Changes in society, technology, and culture can influence language evolution. 7. **Geographic Isolation:** When populations become geographically isolated, their languages can evolve independently, leading to dialect formation. 8. **Contact with Other Languages:** When languages come into contact, they can influence each other's vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation. 9. **Generational Changes:** Younger generations often introduce linguistic innovations, leading to language change over time. These processes are ongoing and natural, resulting in the continuous evolution of languages throughout history.

Native speakers often speak fast English due to a combination of factors: 1. Familiarity: Native speakers are accustomed to the language patterns and rhythms from a young age, which allows them to process and produce speech more quickly. 2. Automaticity: Fluent speakers don’t need to think about each individual word or phrase; they can form sentences and express themselves automatically, leading to faster speech. 3. Contextual Understanding: Native speakers rely on context and familiarity with the language to quickly comprehend what’s being said, even if certain words are spoken quickly or incompletely. 4. Idiomatic Expressions: Native speakers use idiomatic expressions, phrasal verbs, and colloquialisms that flow more naturally at a faster pace. 5. Social Norms: In some cultures, speaking quickly might be seen as a sign of confidence and fluency, so native speakers might unconsciously adopt this pace in their conversations. 6. Cognitive Processing: Once a language becomes second nature, the brain processes it faster, allowing for smoother and quicker communication. It’s worth noting that not all native speakers speak extremely fast, and the pace can vary depending on the context, topic, and the individuals involved in the conversation. Additionally, non-native speakers can also learn to speak quickly as they become more proficient and comfortable with the language.
