I am a guy who's mother tongue is bengali and who has studied in a bengali medium till 12the grade, then i moved to an engineering college where i found that i had to study everything till next 4 years in english , moreover being a hosteler i met so many young friends who were from big cities and who were from English medium and they were very good at speaking. Somehow they became my friends pretty soon 😁 and we started to enjoy our hostel and college days.even though i was not from english school i was pretty confident from childhood itself because in the english language subject i used to score really good marks in school days.Let me tell you in my town very few people could speak english, we interact in bengali and Hindi, so i grew up with almost no idea how english sounds like. But oneday in college i met one guy who was very good speaker and he had a charm and command over english which was mesmerizing to me. I wanted to speak like him. Oneday i sat with him when that guy shifted to hostel and became my buddy , i became quite comfortable with him and told him about my situation. I told him to help me in learning english. I saw some of my college mates boys and girls used to bragging about their lifestyle i thought they were too rich and come from a society where everyone is educated and rich. I felt discouraged and my confidence was pretty low. Then i saw my friend whom i requested to help me he was mocking me and making fun of my english but he was not correcting me just insulting me. Then i felt really bad and never went to him again. I decided to watch english videos about various topics. I am into fitness so i started to watch all fitness related videos,web series, and few movies with english subtitles. I saw a little change in my english and getting better compare to before. I am sharing my real story just to inspire atleast one person if i can. I am still trying to improve my english so watch everything and practice to some extent.hopefully someone will read it and will find more confidence. Only you can change yourself . don't depend on others most of the people you will meet will never help you in this society. Keep grinding work hard . God bless

It’s completely natural that there are times when you struggle with your English. As it isn’t your first language, there is always going to be an element of effort involved in using it. I don’t think you need to be worried about this. In fact, anxiety will probably only make the problem worse. On some occasions, you’re going to struggle for the right words or muddle your pronunciation. Dwelling on mistakes only magnifies the problem. Let it go and congratulate yourself on the things you get right, rather than the things you get wrong!

Today I gave my first interview after my graduation....and I am rejected because of I am not good in talking English fluently...and HR said to me take it my feedback as a positive way.. you have to improved your communication skill in English....I feel so nervous when I gave my interview.. my problem is I understand English even I write English properly ..even in comment section I wrote this but don't know why I can't talk fluently I feel so Nervous when it comes to talk in English ...today I am dispointed from my side beacuse I am not confident enough to talk in English. If we want to become fluent in speaking, we have to practice speaking by watching English news, movies, serials, documentaries etc and repeating after them. We can also talk to ourself everyday. We must try to talk about our day, our plans for the next day. Practice is the key as practice makes perfect.

I wanna share my story here .... As I was from English medium school but no one used to speak in English , I used to get good marks in English but after clearing 12th class I felt English is too important if you wanna good job ... So I started to watch some English videos on youtube but because of lack of consistency I didn't able to speak fluently ... Now I am graduated again I felt that English is one of the important language which can help me to get good job ... One of my friends is too good in English I asked her where should I practice then she suggested me to use hallo application then I installed that app and I fouy it is quite good application where you can talk with anyone including foreigners ... Initially I was not confident to speak up but then I gradually build up my confidence by practicing more and more ... Still I am using this application I can see huge difference in my english ... One thing I wanna tell you guys dont think much about your mistaken just speak up as much as you can don't feel bad just do practice ❤️

I was in graduation, when i started learning and speaking in English. Now i am good enough to talk in english with anyone, not because of having knowledge about grammer, rather having enough confident to communicate with anyone. So having confident during communication is a huge factor for giving or imparting good effect to ur opponent, so my advice is to build confident in ur communication one day u will pretty sure about yourself that you are same as native speaker👍

It was during my seminar presentation of first year graduation that I speak English recently. I was very nervous. I prepared very well but when it reach my turn everything seems to disappear from my mind. All my friends and my professor were at the presentation hall.All were eagerly waiting for my presentation. I was not able to speak properly.I was totally confused about the sentence structure. I thought everyone was laughing at me. Somehow I present it.As an English literature student I was not able to speak fluently. From that painful moment onwards I start concentrating on English language. Actually I started learning English from my very young age.I went to an English medium school and there we had to speak English only. So I don't remember how much sentences I tried to spoke correctly since it's not done by my interest.I used to speak with the help of teachers. I don't know the importance of this language in those days. Day by day it get improved. And I got a good English speaking capacity when I reached to 10th std. After that I move to a state school for my higher studies. No one used to speak in English there. I felt my language Is going down even though I can speak well than others. The last time i spoke in english was during my presentation in college.I was well prepared for it and practiced many times before the presentation.But my nervousness killed my confidence i couldn't even expressed what i really wanted to convey but somehow i managed it and finished my presentation. During a GD, it was not for campus recruitment its just a trial,I couldn't even said a single word because of my fear.Everyone expressed their opinions other than me. The 1st time I hv given a speech in English on the teacher's day ,2019 in front of my classmates,teachers and Seniors....My mother Tongue is bengali,n I hv studied in bengali school with arts till 12 grade but I was always a good scorer in English, Cz I found English to b an interesting subject..my class mates and teachers always hv praised me saying that I hv a strong hold in English...I had started writing daily diary from class 8, n that has helped me to gain courage in writing...I always loved to watch english news n other stuffs...After giving H.S, I hv choosed English Literature in B.A...It's my 2nd semester,🙂 I'm still improving myself..I hv become restless to find out sources of learning english better...I want to be a journalist or a professor of English Literature... I watch lot of debates in english news chanel, after hearing the question from anchor, I mute the sound of my phone and try to give the answers in English ,to the anchor imagined myself to b in the news chanel...It's the another thing you can do.. Choose a topic from the debates, and try to talk on this topic for 3/5 minutes as long as you can....On social media i hv made some trustworthy south Indians friends 😋😋to whom I can speak English to improve my fluency ..You know ,in South almost everyone can talk English .....Plz tell me your experience???????👍

It was almost one year ago i tried to speak in English for the first time. This was my last time as well. After that day i didn't talk to anyone in English yet. That day i talked to an administrator of an international university for some admission queries. Obviously i wasn't confident enough. Because of lack of English speaking skills and so much nervousness i couldn’t' even talk to her normally. I couldn’t creat sentences well. I was afraid of thinking like what to say, How to speak and so on. Even she laughed at my shivering voice 😄 and i was also laughing at myself. It was so funny 😃. However, she was so friendly and so good at me that she easily understood what i wanted to say.

When I entered in the first year of my Engineering,I was very nervous as everyone around me have good communication and their confidence level is quite high.I noticed a guy who inspired me the most his communication was next level then I secretly follow him and keep track of all his activities and that helped me a lot and now I am quite comfortable in this language and I can speak without hesitation for as long as required.

The last time i tried to speak in English was yesterday. In my team meets, i have to communicate in English. So that's really challenging for me. Because when someone speaks to me in English, my mind will blankout. So what i did is, i write down in a paper that what iam going to say. This helped me a lot to gain confidence. After few days, i started to not write down and speak from my mind. The technique i using is that, i speak in slow, so it will help me to remember words. This technique is really helping me. Iam sure that with consistency and patience i can achieve good English speaking skill.

I remember that i have tried speaking in english during the initial days of my college. As i was from a village where english is alien to almost everybody i haven't tried it earlier in my conversation. Even in school we only focus on memorising grammar rules and stuffs just to get marks in examinations. But after 12th i got admission in a very renowned college in metro city where it seems that english is the first language of everbody. Everyone is very fluent and communicate in english like a piece of cake. A kind of inferiority complex started budding into me. I had never use to ask question from teachers because i didn't know how to ask them in english. Once a teacher asked us to tell our life goals one by one . I remember when its my turn i completely ruined the answer and some students even started to laugh. at me. Yeah it felt very bad but its motivate me to improve my english and i strongly beleive that whatever happens is happen for good .. I am working in improving my english and one day i'll communicate in fluent language . Thanks, for provinding such great lessons btw ❤

My name is Juneesh ,my mother tongue is telugu, before I joined in engineering I don't know how english communication is important ,when I saw a people who are speaking in english I just amazing becz I think that how can they speak One day asked my friend how to talk in english,he replied me with talking only it possible but I don't do that I faced many problem without communication skills, some times I disappointed and again I realize that to learn english through grammar . Every task I very tough until it finish ,learning englsih grammar is take away ,then I get dissopinted again,in my college days my sir asked to join in group discussion ,I joined there at that time I speak something about the advantages and disadvantages of using mobile phones,I felt happy to speak in english ,after speaking I get lot of courage ,at evening I returned to my home I said that situation to my mother ,my mother appreciated me . At that Tim I felt very happy ,I started my preparation in englsih , I asked many how to communicate ,all they said that with speaking only u can get success . Finally in lockdown period I have seen a video from Sam and ash channel I known about 30 days challege I watched 1st video last night .I finished my first task what Sam have said ,thank u sam

Nowadays i watch some cartoons in English like Pokemon!! It's incredible to hear and see it in english first i was thinking that English is a very hard language to speak in front of them who were expert in those purposes and i used to see all the cartoon or movies etc. In hindi but then i understood until I don't do practise that's impossible to learn then I started seeing all the things in english tried to speak English with my friends from that day I remember nothing is impossible in this world until we won't practise it "Practise makes man perfect" this is the sentence i appreciate i am just 13 to write this all though all the best for those who are trying hard to work in learning
