You are a perfect example of a synthesiser, compressing the modern problem of inarticulate yapping into a solution. 10000 hours conveyed in 10 minutes.

As a seasoned poet, I endorse this video ... especially the magic-making power of poetry and the fact that the economy of words housed within rhyme or a few lines of lyricism flies past the turtle-pace of prose and gets you to your finish line faster that a Usain bolt out-speeding a match struck multiple muttering times against a piece of cardboard ...

Politely remind them that your pause didn't mean you were finished & that you have something more to add. Works most of the times. (They'll hate you though)

I heard James Stewart say this on the movie Shenandoah when I was five years old. Why do I remember it 50 years later? I think it's brevity, clarity, euphony, but it's primarily imagery. "You see, Sam, when you love a woman without likin' her, the nights can be long and cold, and contempt rises with the sun." When you read letters written by educated people in the last few centuries, it seems they just naturally spoke it this more image-filled interesting way and people saved these letter for a lifetime. Many of the great quotes you read were from ordinary letters, not speeches or books.

I’ve focused on my writing but I am working on improving my speech. (even though I’ve gotten compliments for it, it could be better.) Studying phonetics and making things flow. In my writing I like to be evocative, tug readers into the writing, I’d like to do the same with my verbal language, and I think it would make the task much easier, given the therapeutic nature of a well toned and clear voice.

Good, general suggestions. However, around 2:40, such as the phrase, "By the way" ;-) Reading Bob Dylan lyrics may help. After learning imagery and metaphors, the next level is to evoke emotion. A classic is Martin Luther KIng's "I have a Dream".

Being articulate is great, but english is spoken natively by roughly 400 million people so over billion speakers are not native. If you will use such speech embellishments to people whose english is B1 or lower, they will nod their heads and pretend they understand but they will not. Its important to communicate not only clearly, but easily, because most english speakers are not native speakers.

Hello, Joseph, I'm mike you know from time to time I will enter this flow state virtually every other week where my ideas, words, and rhymes flow so effortlessly that I feel as though I could speak exactly how I think without end and it's a come-and-go thing however the bitter reality of this flow state is when it arrives It only lasts for a short duration of 1 hour or less so would you have any suggestions or techniques as to how I could develop this?
