Speaker Installation Volkswagen Jetta 2019-2025+

@15:48. What and where is this? Is this still on the door frame after removing the door panel? Is this also on the front door?

It will happen on all doors. Yes on the door after removing the cover.

Does the plug and play amp allow me to hook up a sub in the future ?

Did this Jetta have front tweeters in the door pillars? For ones that do would you suggest a component setup instead?

I think only amplified cars have tweeters. Components are usually better. But cars that don't have tweeters don't have a good location for them without modifying the door. Most people are happy with the amplified systems so I have not see one yet.

Sorry if I missed it, but is there a part # for the speaker adapter? Great video, my kid has a 25 Jetta and complaining how lousy the speakers are. I plan on following your video and installed some polks or kicker 6.5s. Thank you

We are still testing what speaker adapter we are going to be using for our kit. Everything on the market is either too cheap or not the right size. We might end up 3D printing some. The ones we used on the video are almost perfect but the opening is a little too small for our application since we are trying to replace the foam with rubber rings.

I'm adding a powered sub to this install, I was going to tap into the rear speaker wiring for the signal, but will the amp kill the bass to it since it's designed to reduce bass to the door speakers?

I actually like to leave the amp on full pass mode to get more bass. But when adding a sub to a factory radio you should always use a processor with bass restoration. That's why we like using the kicker Key 500.1 for subs with factory radios. It has the bass restoration built in.

@ I don’t understand who decided to put such bad speakers and a poor audio system in this car. Even my dad’s third-generation Prius (without JBL) sounds much better. I’ve never had a car with an audio system this bad.

@@Kobrsss8 If it makes you feel any better I worked on a 2023 Porsche 911 with a similar audio system. All Audi/Porsche/VW with base audio sound horrible. Thats why we make the plug and play amplifier and plug and play speaker kits.
