I don't know if anyone has said this already, but most germans don't necessarily expect a perfect pronunciation from someone who wasn't born here. Our country became very multicultural over the years and as long as we generally understand what you are trying to say, we are fine with it. In many cases (and I would say that you are one of these cases) we not only appreciate the effort, because german can be a very difficult language to learn because of the grammar, we also think that a noticeable accent is quite charming to us. It makes people instantly interesting, since you try to appeal to us by speaking our language (even if it sounds a little bit broken sometimes), but you also stay true to your language by keeping your accent. That may explain why your "Speaking german" video became so popular here and why we are still loyal to you and your channel.

When I was a teenager (around 1975), I met a Turkish man who spoke extremely better German than most of my fellow countrymen within 12 months. The same thing happened a few years ago with an American citizen who was actually only in Germany on vacation. He met the love of his life here and also spoke our language after a year, without any accent. Some people really do have an incredible talent for foreign languages. Thanks for an interesting video, Sunny. :) Your German pronunciation is not bad. If you could fix about 3 things it would be better. V in German is pronounced like English F. For example the German word for 4 (vier) is like the English word fear. The sch combination is like English sh. For example the German word schuh is like the English word shoe and has the same meaning. Find out how to pronounce the ch combination because it's not the same in each word it's found in. Did you know there are quite a few words in Norwegian that are taken from Low German? They found their way into your language from German merchants of the Hanseatic League.
