I see many people comparing Nepal with India and Bangladesh or China but let me make you clear that though Nepali language have Sanskrit origin this country is completely different from India and China or any other country. Because we share borders with these two countries there might be some cultural influence from these countries but Nepal is a totally unique and different country. We have our own unique culture, language and tradition. We're different our country is different ❤ #proudtobeNepali

Yeah it sounds like Bengali but I can recognize lot of words because we use them too in our Urdu..I'm from Pakistan🇵🇰 BTW .we also share same mountain ranges

Yes i am bangladeshi and there are a lot of words we use in Bengali too. All these originate from Sanskrit

You say that but it does sound a lot like bengali, i'm bengali but im understanding a lot without the subs. I didnt realise how close/influenced it was, i thought it was just clothing.

You don’t have to feel offended Sumee by the comparisons we are sharing our thoughts about the similarities within the languages which is very normal to do if the countries are neighbours to each other share so much history and culture together from centuries ago.

Nepali is also a language of India. It is even enlisted in Indian currency note. This is because of Indian Gorkhas who are citizen of India. More concentrated in the Darjeeling area. Take care.
