Certainly not underrated. The philosophy of this man is right out there.There is meaning in all his lyrics. His style and outlook is what is needed in this world. The message is in those lyrics.

Couldn't agree more and still doing it today.Personally i think he's one of the greatest ever. His voice over the years, lyrics, relevance, if we care about what's going on in the world today and his live performances over the decades, honestly kind of legenedary really.Again personally, I'd say better than Springsteen and I'm a fan of Springsteens.The live performances from Kirk and Co have left me blown away over the years, phenomenal. I wish there would be more recognition of what he has accomplished to date. One of a kind

Amazing energy and stage presence. He's like a deranged punk opera singer. Totally original and unique

I saw S.O.D many years ago and when Kirk Brandon first walked onto the stage, the spotlights were reflecting so blindingly bright from his hair I honestly thought I was witnessing the second coming of Christ. That image is still burnt into my memory to this day. And the rest of the concert was without doubt one of the best performances I`ve ever seen

I was there, border tv studios Carlisle. Somewhere at the back. Great performance. Only disappointing aspect was the carefully placed dancers at the front. Was still a fantastic appearance though !

The date on this clip is probably a year out of date? S.O.D released World Service in 1985, not 1986.
@TravisBickle19636 жыл бұрын
But this programme was broadcast on 27/09/86
@lovelystuff15626 жыл бұрын
TravisBickle1963 Your Cult Bliss footage is listed as 01/01/86 but it was definitely broadcast just before the UK Love tour, so Sept or October (at the very latest) 1985. SOD's World Service album was released August 1985, so this set featuring World Service tunes would make sense the following month. A year later after being dropped by Epic, Brandon returned with a new line up and released the Strangers in Our Town single, in early 1987. I'm pretty sure that Bliss only ran for a few months in the 2nd half of 1985

@@chrisbell5920 Great line up I agree, but in recent times Kirk has rediscovered his mojo and they are as good as ever. Id personally love to see them include a sax player on tour. Check out latest album Tontine. Whenever I play them at home,the wife is sick of me exclaiming " listen to that voice" . Amazing!
