Spear of the Impaler is a DLC weapon that belongs to one of the hardest bosses in Elden Ring known as Messmer.
This Great Spear is quite unique because of its ash of war called "Messmer's Assault" that consist of 5 seconds long sequence of attacks which looks like something straight out of the anime shounen
Today I made a build specifically to use this armament.

weird question out of context but, i try to infuse a fire knight greatsword cold (yeah i know it's not the way, i'm just cooking weird shit) trying to abuse the inner fire damage to reset the frostbite, it doesn't work, i can proc the bite but the fire part of the damage doesn't reset the bite at all and i can't find why seens any fire damage should reset, i want to know if it's a bug or is it intended somehow ?

it's not a bug. you can achieve frostbit reset if you use chilling mist on heavy infused weapon and then using drawstring fire grease. since fire knight's gs has fire damage on any infusion you can remove chilling mist buff from weapon and it will reset frostbite.

for example if target has frostbite and you use poison coated fire knight's gs it will also not reset frost.

Eh idk if this exactly works with pvp though the damage is probably less bc you aren’t using any armor that boosts the fire weapons and fire incants I suggest picking up fire Knights chest and the Fire Knight captains helm or Messmer’s helm to help boost fire damage with Messmer’s fire.

A guy that literally stop the stars, control gravity, and turns himself into a meteor. A man that turn to a massive snake that births other snakes and summons a hell portal to send spirits that explodes into flames. A dog man knight that jumps around on pillers and literally throws the concept of death at you (Yes I am using literally too much, it’s on purpose). We fight literally space aliens, not like “it’s kinda alien-“ No ALIENS! From SPACE! Dragons that attacks you with lightning swords and teleport. I can go on. Not only is this stuff is in the base game. We already have over the top moves in the base game. Elden Ring is HIGH FANTASY. This is not Kingdom Come: Deliverance. If you finished this game and for some ungodly reason came way from this thinking ER is grouned in its medieval fantasy you lost it. Also over the top moves are not exclusive..actually I don’t understand how over top moves equal anime and for some reason separate from medieval stuff at all. Not to mention ER isn’t even purely European medieval fantasy. There not logic to this take.😅

​@@simonealcazar816 lol, i get ur point and completely agree with it but that doesnt mean it's not medievil themed. although, because of the large amount of japanese influence, the a lot of game's main themes are very much from japan E.G: the dung eater is based of a demon spirity thingy that steals people's souls from their asses (yes thats what the dung eater does when he "defiles" people, he just reaches up their but and steals their souls.) the theme around malenia and the blue dancer represent the idea's of stagnation and flow which is why malania's signiture move she learned from the dancer is the "waterfowl dance" to fend of the stagnation of the rot. and obviously the dancing lion boss from the DLC.
