I’ve never tried Awa’awa yet, but Awa and Oio are kinda similar from what I remember, I think I liked the oio more though

So funny everbody out here likes to say corona virus has been good for the ocean ... and maybe it has for the reef and etc. but the game fish have been straight murdered. Way to many guys not working for months and diving day after day. On Maui I hardly see decent goat fish right now. Fish I shot a year ago in 50' I hardly now get in 70 or 80'. Has had a huge effect on spearfishing.

Yeah, the boost in fishermen and diver’s since the whole COVID thing started is pretty nuts. A lot more people are hitting the water, which is all well and good, I’m glad people are learning to harvest their own food. But a lot of people need to learn conservation and respect. No need shoot 5+ goats or uhu’s in one dive, 2-3 of each species is enough. And even less if they’re gona dive often. I always said they gotta regulate and put limits, but if you’re saying Maui’s numbers are dropping then I guess the regulations aren’t working.
