Given that Pearson's r is a more commonly used statistic of correlation, this video was immensely informative regarding the use of Spearman's rho to calculate correlations for nonparametric statistics.

rater 1 and rater 2 significantly correlated at .05 level in spearman correlation right, I think you mispelled or something. By the way great video ;)

Great video! I was confused because it looked like there was a statistically sig difference on the Spearman test unless you were using a different alpha level than .05. I just wondering what I missed.

Hi Dr. Todd Grande, thanks for making this video. I have a question about the negative correlation. I got a -.596 correlation, does it mean it is a significant negative relationship between the two valuables? Thanks.

Thank you Sir, can we put more than 2 variables in the variables box when doing the bivariate correlation with spearman correlation as shown on the video since I have 2 ordinal dependent variables and 4 independent variables (nominal and ordinal). Thanks, your reply will be highly helpful. Can we use it to for nominal independent variables?

Hi Dr.Grande, Thanks a lot for very useful videos, I have collected sleep data at T1 and T2 and also noise data at T1 and T2. I want to see the correlation between sleep and noise data. is it correct to calculate diff(T2-T1) for each variable and use the correlation for two calculated diffs? thanks in advance for your valuable time.

Hello! I rank the A 1, B 2, C3... For the grades of school children and their habit of breakfast are 1 for every day, 2 for most days, 3 for rarely.... 5 never... This ranks are correct? it right to find the correlation...?

Please I need your help asap. I have ranked variables like: 1: most important, 2: 2nd choice, 3: least choice, for example, and people must rank from 1 to 3, I don't know what test I can use with these variables. can you help? I cannot find a video on such an example

Did you eventually find methods you should use? i'm currently doing this type of analysis as well. Would be great if you'd finally found methods to do it :)

@@maxxx98ine it is kind of late to answer this question but i do it anyway for future readers. You need to create a variable for every choice. For example; for the first question create 3 variables like Q1_1 Q1_2 and Q1_3 and enter the choice of subject into these variables and then make the correlation analyssis. hope this helps. If you have further questions come to my channel and I will be happy to assist more :)

that was interesting not sure when it is to be used but like its output and interpretation

+Mark Vanderley I think you would use it when you have ordinal data whereas some of the other correlation videos are on correlations intended to be used with interval or ratio data.
