Last I saw it has 3. But for the average user it means nothing. The SE22 is without a doubt more powerful than the 8, but most people today still don’t do near enough to push the 8 to its limits, and as I said before unless they are side by side you won’t really notice the performance difference unless you are a power user and are constantly pushing the limits of the soc.

The biggest difference I see is the SE- 3rd generation has a ceramic glass screen, A15 chip & 5g. Frugality wise- I’d get the SE-2nd generation unless the 3rd generation had a really good deal. This is compared to my iPhone 8 that’s still going strong.

So. Up to the point of the glass, they were even. And this new ceramic glass is somehow magically better than what was on the 8/2020SE? I would rate that a BS call. Time to point it that just because the 8 and 2020 don’t have the A15 soc, it doesn’t mean that they are any less the machines they were before the 2022 came out. And this is one thing that has always puzzled and bothered me about technofiles. This year a new widget comes out it is the greatest thing since hypersliced denovian bread. it does everything you want except it doesn’t wipe your backside. In 12 months the next widget will come out. It will be essentially the exact same widget as the first. Except this one does wipe your backside. Which instantaneously in the eyes of the technofiles makes last years model a thing of trash, useless and worthy of mocking. 12 months after that the next widget is released and it not only wipes your bum, but has a endless supply of tp. You never have to install another roll. My long winded sarcastic point is this. Just because the 2022 model is out it does not make the previous models any less fantastic. And I would go so far as to argue that the 8 is by far the best value for your dollar if you are not a power user. That if you are an average user, you will get more out of your money by buying a reconditioned 265gb iPhone 8 and putting a gin foxi battery case on it, the one that has wireless charging. It charges your phone and the case at the same time, you end up with a full phone and two more full charges off the case. 3 full charges before you need to plug in. Also I much prefer the size and weight of the phones in these cases. The thinness of the 6-SE2022 and lightness is less than comforting to me. Great devices that they are I think Apple should have put no less than twice the battery size in all these phones if not more. So let’s look at it, currently the 8 is available on Scamazon in 256 for 214.95 and the battery case is depending on color averages 37.00. So that comes to 251.95. So for half the price the majority of the people looking at the 500.00 dollar iPhone SE2022 could get this set up and be happier with it, and never know the marginal increase the A15 would provide for their daily activities. Again if your a power user or borderline power user then yes the 2022SE is probably the small phone to get. But most people looking at this phone are going to grossly over pay and never come close to using it for what it’s capable of, ie bought more than they will ever use.

I have an iPhone SE 2020, it's an amazing phone! Would recommend especially since they can be found in good condition on eBay for around $100, not planning on any upgrade to my daily driver until the SE 2020 loses support or until 2025/6 and I will always love the SE series!
