I'm pretty sure they're testing the waters with this. A full series is a huge undertaking and costs a lot but they know we want this so they're doing shorts to see how the reception is. I also want my Sky Striker episodes and a 2 hours Albaz movie but ttis stuff takes time.

Yugioh has had animated promotional material for the cards since 2002, it's just this is about the lore of specific archetypes rather than the card game and ace monsters.

This is maybe the most hyped I have been about a YGO announcement in years. Would I have preferred this to be a full anime? Yes, absolutely; stories like the Albaz lore and Duel Terminal absolutely deserve their own story arcs. But you know what, this is a hell of a lot better than nothing, and if we really are getting an episode a month FOR FREE then I'm not complaining.

@@dustinvance243 Most people didn't like Vrains People hated ArcV the most. I only started hearing people liking Zexal only recently. When 5Ds happened I stopped watching Yugioh. I'm still hearing people say Yugioh ended after DM So all that is just BS, people will complain no matter what. Rush duel is literally a reboot to the card game in the most save way possible (Which is what most of the complains wants, yet they don't like it neither)
