Congratulations, James. I did post a long message here yesterday, but for whatever reason it seems gone now. Your book trilogy sounds exciting. I ordered it. Plus Edge Of Insanity. On Paperback even. I did read Guilt Trip the other day, and that one was very good. Really felt inspired and atmospheric and really "haunting"... quite literally haunting for the main character, of course. I liked many things about that story...

Guilt Trip was inspired by the old urban legend that if you do too much LSD, you never come down. That terrified me when I was younger, and I knew there was a story there. Let me know what you think of the other books. I genuinely enjoy hearing readers’ thoughts. Happy reading.

@@AuthorJamesFlynn Ahh, yes, that was the only part about the story I felt was a bit odd when you mention it. How he was still in that place after decades doing that stuff. I was wondering what did he eat, would nobody ever look for him in the past, and so on too, it felt like a stretch, but I reckoned I should just accept it wasn't entirely realistic but more like a nightmare. The concept was great.. the story succeeds creating a very eerie feeling and atmoshphere. I also just liked the concept of it all going on in a place that seemed abandoned and forgotten. The interaction between the kids and the LSD was also quite captivating. I also thought the ending was very amusing. I wasn't sure who the person was who told him he did a good job, but that was quite creepy in a good way. So yes, the story was very enjoyable. I should try to read another one soon. Amazon says I'll be getting Exodus on 17th February.

Hi James. I finished The Exodus Of Evil yesterday. Wow, I'm still processing it. You write very well, and the plot and everything with the ship is very interesting, as it seems almost like a ship like Conservation could happen one day. It reminds me a bit of Interestellar, where there's also a ship heading out into space looking for a new planet. I liked the setting. I guess Chapter 4 is where the book really takes a turn, and I can see some people will stop reading from here, because it's shocking... I was surprised how gruesome that chapter was, first with the eagle and then the poor woman. There were at least two other instances that challenged that chapter too. I was confused by this at first. However, on reflection I was kind of fascinated, because the "evilness" on the ship was also kind of mysterious too. I liked that the story didn't really explain why they were acting like that. I guess there's an implication that Dolph had "an ideology" and there's this "Life is pain and pain is life" thing, but even that still seems mysterious. My reaction was first it had gone too far, as I felt a sci-fi story didn't suit things like that (unlike a horror story like Guilt Trip which felt more like a nightmare), but on reflection it intrigued me and I'll probably check out the second book too, as it had a pretty interesting cliffhanger. I'll review it on Goodreads too.

Hello again. Thank you for getting back to me. Chapter 4 was a risky move on my part. It's bound to divide people. However, I don't hold back when I write a story. I just go for it. I understand that a lot of people won't expect to encounter a scene like that in a SF book, but I like to cross the boundaries of genre. Besides, the book is actually science fiction horror. There are a lot of unanswered questions in book one, yes. Rest assured, all of these questions are answered in books 2 and 3. I appreciate you taking the time to read my work, and I am always interested to hear your opinions. Let me know what you think of books 2 and 3! James
