Oh sry I also want to tell you something ... well I guess you can do this the way you did it Something I do when I need a leg less doll make sure you have the older ones (elastic) that way you can cut them easier (you have to remove a jello like substance at the end but it’s worth it!)

She’s amazing! So adorable. I love the idea for the legs. That’s a great idea I might just have to use. Did washing the hair in fabric softener make the hair more manageable? I like yarn but I get so frustrated because of how puffy it can get. I may also just use too much yarn. Still learning 😅

Saralyn Thank you really much! :D I don’t like poofy yarn hair either so I brush it out really thoroughly. But yes washing with fabric softener helps to flatten all the fluff and the hair gets really smooth

Next time use MSC and pastels for the base on the face so you don't have to worry about chipping or scratches maybe? Either way she is beautiful, your voice is soothing BTW. Her eyes are beautiful and ik it was a struggle and I don't mean to nit-pick but is it just me or are they not looking in the same direction? Maybe she has a lazy eye?😅 But yeah, she is HELLA adorable

This is like a meant to be, off the shelf expensive doll you would buy. My goodness, the extensive work done in order to customise one doll, to completely look like another, is just over the top talented. The eyes looked great the way you done them and those legs, wow. At first I did not know what you were going to do with them. When you covered them with fur, they just looked great. So you should be proud of this doll. There are a lot of doll makers out there now but only a few of them are at the top of the game, IMO. Dollynx is one of them because she experiments and takes things to different levels.

Pro tip if you get a eyebrow razor and put it to the yarn you can get very shaggy look good for fur and for male hair

There’s so many things you don’t learn from others’ tutorials, that we only learn by making those mistakes ourselves, for instance, I rerooted AFTER doing a faceup and the sealant crackled on her face and I had to do it all over again, lesson learned. We are teachable thank God 😉

I've found that using 2 coats of watered down Matte Medium works way better than just applying it straight. It gives it nice tooth without it being sticky and thick.

I live in Sweden, when i was little there used to be LOTS of snow, bit because of global warming, its either no snow at all or really big snow storms that hinder the busses from going, and its REALLY hard to get to school...

If you like winter,you've never experienced a northern maine winter.Our winters are tons of snow,then freezing a lot (I live in a trailer thats mostly in the woods).Its like the first week its all pretty and amazing,but then after that its like you have to look down at your feet to make sure you have feet still half the time.

Also, I use a combination of Liquitex Matte medium GEL, Mod Podge, and water for in between layering colour, it provides sooo much tooth and the glue helps seal it so you can erase on it or use water to wash colour off when needed. Then I use my MSC or Testors dullcote to seal it at the end, it’s really expensive trying to get it here to Canada

I use small nail buffing sponges for sanding the body, you can get into the tighter spaces easily
