I think it’s incredible that you choose to say what you feel deeply within instead of only sticking to what you are expected to say. I have found inspiration in that and you are helping bring light to things that have been overlooked/misunderstood. Thank you for your wisdom.❤

Thank you. Happy holidays and Merry Xmas to you, too. I think your timing of discussing Christ's birthday is a little funny (a little synchronistic?) as I dreamt my parents were randomly informing me of Buddha's birthday just the other night after I forgot my own keys.. Aha! Well, the lack of sense in that all happening actually makes perfect sense as I, too, was raised Catholic 😂 But I really appreciate moving away from 'isms'. It seems common that on the path towards compassion, insight, enlightenment, etc, there tends to be pitstops in spiritual superiority. It is as if to look down on others who appear to have not yet reached the same level of acceptance, detachment, understanding, or what have you, that this somehow can convince us that we have 'arrived' and 'found the way' instead of recognizing just this as evidence otherwise. Anyway, there is a reason there is so much overlap in spiritual and religious ideas and systems. I believe there is also a reason why there are what appear to be contradictions. If only we could all meet in the middle 🙏

Thanks for your input! Yes, "isms" are part of a model that works for structure, up to a point. However, the Truth gets lost in translation, like in a game of telephone. This is why I'm exploring more of the Integral Theory approach and Ken Wilber. Check out Radical Wholeness. Very good book!

@delson999 thank you for your recommendation, it sounds fascinating. I have to admit that I initially googled the author himself and this article came up: The Rise and Fall of Ken Wilbur written by Mark Manson. Quite an interesting take from someone who seems to have a long history of following Ken's work. He seems to make mention of the similar pitfalls befalling him and his followers. Makes me wonder: is it simply unavoidable? Even an important step? All knowledge as a work in progress really rings true to me though. I will check out the book 😊

@@LeftOfToday Perfection is a dangerous idea to the mind. No one should ever be held to a standard beyond basic humanity. Awakening doesn't perfect you. It makes you accepting of the flaws we all possess. And it allows for more flow of life and spontaneity. Everything else is optional and some things can never be avoided if it is in one's fate (karma)
