Hi my father is from Roccella Ionica. I am hoping to go there next year in late sept to October. It would be great if you could do a tour of the town. Also I would like to organise a tour next year. It would be great to get in touch early next year to discuss tour options. I am hoping to stay in Calabria for 2 weeks. REGARDS FRANK

My mother is 100% Italian and 100% Calabrese. My family is from Cosenza and Cantanzaro. You asked for suggestions of towns to visit. My family goes back 400 plus years in one area Decollatura in Cantanzaro. My suggestion however is my great grandfather's town in Cosenza. The name of the town is Cleto. It has the ruins of a Norman castle at the top of it. I have been there once on a visit to the province. It is a very small town and somewhat remote but it is also real unique and picturesque. It would be awesome to see you do a video there. I'm sure you get many requests however so I won't hold my breath :-) But you did ask for suggestions/requests so that is mine. Thanks for making these videos I enjoy you showing off Calabria, even though I am Canadian of Italian heritage I was brought up with a sense of pride in being Italian and being Calabrese so I really enjoy your videos representing this unique region of southern Italy in such a favourable light. Cheers xo

Great job Ana. Nice tour and great history. My Great Grandmother Carmela Rosanova was born and raised in Costenza in 1865. I would like to find out if there are still relatives in Calabria of hers or my great grandfather Bartolomio Granata born 1856. Both emigrated to the US in the 1880's.

I'll be visiting Cosenza for a few days in October. My great grandfather was from Lappano. Cosenza looks walkable but do you recommend renting a car to explore the rest of the area? I'm considering a day trip down the coast to Tropea.
@yourtraveltoitalywithanapa76692 жыл бұрын
For sure, without a car it gets very difficult to visit the whole area, so I certainly recommend you to rent a car.

Curti
