Hello friends!❤️🇵🇭Today I am cooking the Popular Filipino buns - special ensaymada😋
I borrowed the recipe from my favorite chef R.V. Manabat. A remake from Olya's cousin😇❤️
And my mom Ira also caught a tour of the Church of the Resurrection of Christ on Blood (Church of the Savior on Blood) in St. Petersburg for you! This is amazing! Just look at this beauty!❤️❤️❤️🇷🇺

I also have no doubt that you are endearing yourself to the Filipino people who will eventually reward you with even bigger subscription in the future. All the best to you!

Filipino ensaymada (энсайма́да) is based on a Spanish pastry, ensaïmada. While Chef RV likes to make his ensaymada with cream cheese frosting 🧀, the traditional toppings are butter, sugar, and cheese. While I have seen the more modern style (like the one you did), ensaymadas are traditionally spiral-shaped 🍥, just like Spanish ensaïmadas! And yes, they are great with coffee!

Mom Irina is lively and talkative that I enjoy watching her because she talks real. One of my favorite is pandesal because you can eat it with butter, peanut butter, jam. You can dip it in coffee, milk or even in cocoa. You can eat it together with pancit canton although both are carbohydrates it compliments the taste just eat in moderation. I love pandesal dip it with condense milk wow it's sweeter but the taste is wonderful. You can also eat pandesal together with scramble egg and with cornedbeef with potatoes. Filipino people are very creative and love to invent that's, why we come out or different food.

The reason that your dough rose so little is because you placed them in a small mould. Usually, they're baked in a flat tray where they can rise and spread sideways. Don't worry, you can make them again, Cousin Olya, and show us better result. Your mom is becoming my favorite, too, with her stories of childhood memories , interests, and worldview. It adds to the charm of your vlog. ❤

There are several factors why your buns did not rise as expected: 1. The yeast isnt working as it should. Try testing it first before baking so as not to waste time, effort and of course the other ingredients. 2. The dough wasnt kneaded enough, 3. Its cold in your area, yeast loves warm temp to thrive. I hope this helps. Just try and try until you succeed. Happy baking😊

To help with getting your dough to expand more, try mixing the yeast with a cup of warm water and add a small amount of sugar to activate your yeast for 3 to 5 minutes before adding it to the flour. Hope it helps!

@@CousinOlya yes lami the most common ensaymada is with margarine and white sugar toppings and inside filled with sweetened mongo a local beans. Special ones are muffin like texture and look the common ones look like a twisted roll bread

I was watching this while eating pan de sal on a Philippine Sunday morning then I was imagining walking between that canal and those old historic buildings while eating special ensaymada😄That kind of ensaymada can be bought in boxes or wrapped separately and given as gift. Also, I'm surprised you don't have many kinds of bread in Russia, since it is one of the bread baskets of the world which is probably why many of the women in your family, your friends who vlog are skilled at baking.Well it's good you're learning to make new kinds of bread since you're skilled in baking.

No worries Olya, I know that you can improve and perfect your especial ensaimada next time. As the saying goes .."Practice makes perfect!" 😊 Just make it again and correct your mistakes the last time. I'm sure you'll do it correctly next time! 👍☺️🥰💕 All the best to you Olya! I really enjoyed and appreciated the beautiful cathedrals and historical structures you've shown in this video. I hope some day I get to visit and tour your beautiful place there in Russia! 😊
