I’m planning to make Andrea Mowry’s So Faded sweater - it takes up to 5 skeins and I’ve already found enough yarn to potentially make two so it should make a big dent in the stash. Lovely watching you two for the first time and many thanks for your suggestions.

Oh yes So Faded is a good one indeed! Thanks for the reminder! Thanks so much for watching!

Thank you for putting these projects together. Some good ideas there. I am knitting the Leith Cardigan by Rebecca Clow and using up a lot of dk leftovers. Not quite the same as using a special skein but very satisfying.

That's a good one! Thanks for sharing!

I have big plans to knit Paper Houses (published in PomPom magazine). It would be a good project for scraps, but could also use the majority of maybe 4-6 single skeins if they had the right contrast! Also, I’ve been eyeing the Elfmail sweater which depending on size, crop, and sleeve length could use a couple single skeins
@themakersnotebook23189 ай бұрын
Paper Houses is gorgeous! Indeed, that one is a good to use up stash! Elfmail is pretty, adding both to queue! Thanks so much for your comment!

Great projects! I have used a variegated yarn as a stripe in my raglan sweaters. Its a great way to use those one skein purchases. Also, Joji Locatelli has a one skein shawl. I think she calls it Lone Skein shawl. Terrific pattern. If you do any of colorwork, use a varigated as your wool for the colorwork. Especially if its a long color changing yarn. Just check for contrast before. You’ve gotten me thinking now. Off to explore ravelry.

Agreed, Joji has some great 1 skein patterns. I have Lone Skein in my queue to knit up one day! Thanks for the tips and thanks for watching!

The Heirloom Quilt Cardigan is great for various single skeins! I'm using a tonal and a variegated with each square and it's working up beautifully

Oooh I forgot about that one! Thank you so much for the reminder! I can't wait to see what I have in stash to make this.

I'm on the larger side so I don't often by single skeins of anything. I do only use 2 skeins of finger for the Xarabia sweater. I want to make another one where I can do color blocks. Where I would use one skein of a special yarn and one of a solid. The first one I made was a 3/4 length sleeve. I used 2 skeins of fingering held double with a non mohair lace weight and I love it. I did another one that is solid held double with mohair. Love that one too. I love to knit so I don't mind bigger projects.

Oooh Xarabia is cute! Adding to my queue. Thanks so much! Color block on this sounds awesome.

Thank you for sharing some great ideas. I too am practicing a "Use My Stash" year. It's more than one skein, but I'm using leftover yarn for leg warmers. Free pattern by Jane Richmond on Ravelry. Simple and quick and will come in handy with the cold front we are having here in NYC.

I’ve used my fingering weight yarn held double to knit and marled quite a few of Espace Tricot patterns. Most were free when Melissa and Lisa owned the shop. They have sweaters, hats, shawls etc

OH yes, they have some great patterns! Thanks for watching!

I’ve needed the Seaglass tea in the past, and I really liked it. Unfortunately, it turned out too small but I have had it on my mind to knit again.

Tanis Lavallee from Tanis Fiber Arts has two tops that can be knit with one skein of fingering with one skein of mohair. Rock It Tee and Floodlight Tee - I have made both and they’re lovely
