Cooked bacon and eggs on an iron pan that he made himself, over a forge that he made himself, with a spatula he made himself, eaten with a knife he made himself, while using a piece of steel as a plate. Arguably one of the most man things I've ever seen in my life.

You continue to ROCK, Chandler! I don't care what the stuffed shirts say, you, sir, are entertaining, as well as a teacher. You put yourself out there, forging steel, into what you want, sometimes good, sometimes not so good, but always real. You inspire folks, man...and that is something you can stand proud of!

long time watcher first time commenter. I began welding and fabing about a year ago. nothing structural or really purpose built. a few tools and jigs but mostly art. the cart I've modded as needs grew is what I'm most proud of. I've always wanted to start a youtube channel for more of a journal purpose, not so much to get a following. but you do, day by day, what I'd want my channel to be like. so just wanted to say thank you for your videos, your curiosity, your will to fail in front of camera for the sake of learning. your a good dude and love to purchase your products in person someday.

Ha! I KNEW I wasn't the only one that cooked on his forge! I raise chickens, and one day a buddy and I were just STARVED, so we grabbed a loaf of bread from the house, a cast iron skillet, and raided the coop, and cooked on an old grill grate propped up over the fire while our steel heated up underneath. Definitely going to have to try making one of these frying pans for myself. *high five*
@super69548 жыл бұрын
I got half way through your other video and figured i'd be tossing that pan in the return to china bin right about now, after watching you fight with it. By the time you got to the end, I'd convinced my self if I was at a show with Chandler selling that pan I was buying it as it looked cool. There has to be a market for unique, only one in the world like it hand forged frying pans. There will never be 2 turn out identical the way you guys forge work them. I hope you get the time making them perfected and do well selling them.

I usually cook eggs on stainless and they usually stick a lil.But I think they usually stick a lil on cast iron and carbon steel too.
@sirajnakhuda54468 жыл бұрын
if u add a little more oil it would help.
@RuzzP8 жыл бұрын
flax oil is the way to go for seasoning stainless (well anything really). it comes off after a few uses, but its quick and easy to do. Eggs will slide around like nothing. I will almost always have eggs stick on my cast iron, even the 80 some year old GSW pan i have, unless i cook them at a very low heat, or my favourite way, which is to cook bacon first and leave a good bit of the grease in the pan. The rest i save for when i dont wanna cook bacon!

A few more lunches and the pan will be perfect. I've restored a few cast iron frying pans from rusted hills and it took a few seasonings to get them nice, with use they get better. km sure it's the same with the pans you make. If you want an idea, a blacksmith I watch on KZbin, GS Tongs just put up a video of a trivet he made, very simple and nice, he makes beautiful tools and he's in southeast Asia, you wouldn't be competing with him. Probably simple enough to make and sell.
