It's so unfortunate that colors today are considered "spectacular" under those blue LEDs. I miss the 10K and 14K more natural look from back in the day. People would see that the majority of those colors in reality don't exist under whiter light. And if you want to keep it colorful like that you will need to have those blue lights... So artificial.. just can't get used to. Sorry. Merry Christmas, Mike.

It's natural color, they aren't getting injected or anything. That being said I o love my 250w de 14k halides, but that pop with the blues at the end of the day is out of this world, almost seems like 2 different tanks

@@ryanwashington3330 No one ever said they were injected with anything. It's just blue light reflection. A fashion. Similar effect of reflection could be achieved long ago under actinic tubes, but we knew that "white light" should be the normal, to resemble nature. Nothing new in that regard. The only thing new is the hype selling them for higher prices under blue LEDs and with weird made up cartoon names to boost the prices. People pay for the colors only under blue light. Put them under "whiter light" and most of those extra emphasized colors are gone. Sorry, I know things are not going to change, they just get worse as a fact. I just can't get used to... I try hard, but it just doesn't fit as a good representation of the nature. Corals in the ocean don't look like that. That is all that most new people in this hobby know and think is cool. I know... Market strategy that works and became the new "norm". Not everyone will see it as normal though. Everyone is different. That is why comments are here for. To express our feelings. We already had the "blues at the end of the day". And in the beginning of the day too, in the 90's. Corals weren't sold based on actinic lighting though. That is my point. My suggestion is that in every video we could see both sides of the coin. That would be fair in my opinion. Merry Christmas to you.
