Special Interview w/Garage RCR Phil Robles | Super Lap Battle Experience

Amazing weekend at Austin's Circuit of the Americas (COTA) for Super Lap Battle / Just Vibes Hard Parked Showcase last weekend! I had the opportunity to interview Phil Robles from RCR Garage whose EG Civic won the Gran Turismo Award at SEMA in 2017 and has since been scanned into the game. This car is K-Swapped, turbo, has a Quaife Sequential gearbox, and Pandem widebody kit. The Robles family are absolutely wonderful people to speak with and I can't thank them enough for hanging out this weekend!

Thanks Juby, glad you enjoyed it mate! The whole experience was an auto enthusiasts dream. COTA during F1 weekend is so closed off and “exclusive” based on ticketing tier that I was completely blown away by how much free rein we had all weekend. And I’m not sure what happened, if I was in interview mode after being interviewed myself for my buddy @joelsdriveway podcast earlier, but the light switch just flipped and away we went. The car was absolutely awesome to see and the family was wonderful to speak with. Great vibes! 🤙

I'm very sad that I didn't get a chance to meet Phil and his son this past weekend. I had seen his car on Larry Chen's channel. Didn't know he was coming to SLB. I was only able to attend Sunday because of work. I saw his car from behind as I was walking up the paddock. Someone had just finished putting fuel and I took a pic and thought that car looks very familiar. It wasn't until later that I realized it was him (and that car) when I saw his pic and car in the booklet they were handing out! Very interested in his build as I have the same hatch I'm building for NASA time trial and time attack events. Great video, I'm a new subscriber

It was a great experience man. The whole SLB event was top notch, but I will say getting to meet and hang with the Robles crew was the icing on the cake. Made it a truly special weekend to remember. Next time buddy 🤍

The just vibes car show was trash. The whole setup was tragic. It’s gotten worse as the years have gone by and the music was just as bad. Super Lap Battle and Lone Star Drift keeps getting better as years go by though!

Really? I enjoyed the show and layout. I thought the location was good, central. I haven’t been in prior years but def agree the SLB and Drift were awesome .
