I saved a collection decal representing a blank Arizona License plate. When I apply it to a car I add my Layers to make it personalized. How can i save that plate to my collection after my mods are done to the plate so i dont have to do all that work everytime i want to add it to a car?

So… my mrs brought me a PS5 for Christmas a few years ago (she amazing) but because I’m not a massive gamer, I was slightly worried I wouldn’t really play it that much and it’d just end up in one of the kid’s bedrooms… long story short, I came across NFS unbound and loved the whole design aspect of it and pretty much became hooked. Fast forward and my mrs brought me the PSVR2 and GT7 and noticed you could also design your own cars on there too!! QUESTION: why the woof has it been made so god dame difficulty !! And does it become easier?
@GTJesse12 күн бұрын
Haha it does get easier like all things, just takes practice. The GT7 editor is lovely to work in though compared to designing in real life.
@milliefrankieshaw2009Күн бұрын
@ thank you for replying Jesse, much appreciated. How do I share designs mate or does it do it automatically?
@K9zz14 күн бұрын
just pointless and not worth the effort----> there already is a vast in game library of decals and more without having to go through all this BS for A 15KB decal
@GTJesse12 күн бұрын
It depends. You can do almost anything with decals already in the game. If you want to create something truly bespoke though then these skills are critical.

Happy New Year! Cool to see the parallel workflow for both real life and GT7.
@GTJesse16 күн бұрын
Happy new year to you too! There are pros and cons to both. But I really like the 3D component to seeing designs come to life in GT.

Interesting to see how this works and the effort it takes. You make it look so easy.

It’s not terribly difficult but it takes some time to accumulate the knowledge of how to use the different tools and techniques in adobe illustrator to achieve the desired outcome in the best way possible. Thank you though!

I created my own vectors and whenever I hit the upload button it says "The browser you are using is not supported" regardless of what browser I'm using. I'm completely stuck!
@GTJesse16 күн бұрын
Few different reasons this may be but it’s most commonly due to the file size. Or a potentially embedded image. Make sure none of your layers are hidden and you’ve deleted any embedded images. Also just double check it’s under 15kb

Can you sync Govee interior and underglows and use rainbow mode together??
@GTJesse20 күн бұрын
They wouldn’t be perfectly synced unless you cut the wires and splice them into a single controller. But if you had them running from individual controllers, you can select similar effects so they appear to be synced and would be much simpler.

I tried following the guide as how you set it, but no matter what I did, I'd always be woefully off the mark in terms of size. Would it be better if I simply tried cutting it up into smaller pieces?
@GTJesseАй бұрын
Depending on the art you’re working with, that may be the best solution
@MidnightMan04Ай бұрын
@@GTJesse The image I'm trying to upload has a lot of different colors, and it doesn't really work well with splitting it up into different colors. Even cutting down the nodes isn't helping. Still, this was an amazing guide, and I'm glad that there's a video that more comprehensively explains the process!
@GTJesseАй бұрын
Depending on things, sometimes it makes sense to reduce the colors and layers. But glad you found the guide helpful. Where there’s a will there’s a way! Check out some of XTSKYBLUEx liveries on Instagram. Making the impossible possible!

Dude, incredible video. Super helpful. Super concise. Informative. Etc. I was pulling my hair out trying to figure out why I couldn’t put a dang IMPUL decal on the rear license plate area of my Calsonic R32. I haven’t tried it again yet since watching your video. But I’m about to go try it. Also, the wrap technique seems super useful.

Do you have to hit 2 buttons to get the cameras on every time?

You should be able to just press the shortcut key from the Home Screen UI. If you’re in CarPlay though, yes, you’d have to hit the floating widget button first.

At 9:34, you could also change the node type to cusp node (8th icon) to they become "sharp" nodes, without handles to apply curvature. At 10:20 instead of clicking each node you want to delete, you can select a bunch by click and drag. At 12:35, instead of using node tools, you can use bezier curve tool, trace a path with straight segments that cuts through the text, like you would do if it was printed on paper and you woul use cissors to cut pieces of text apart. Then you select your text, the bezier path and use Path + Divide. With the method you proposed before using node tools or my method here, letters like "O" have their holes disappear in the process, but in fact they are still there, and you can substract the "hole" of the O from it. It becomes obvious if you change colors. And I understand that it is a video to make any decal from any logo found on the web, but the first step I do before engaging in this long and rather tedious process (and the GT Omega logo is "simple" in that regard) is to look for an already SVG logo, or at least a very good resolution PNG one. Just tested with the GT Omega logo, and there are SVGs available.
@GTJesseАй бұрын
Great tips, thank you for sharing. I have progressed quite a bit since creating the video and agree that most of these steps can actually be abbreviated quite a bit with the different tools available. But alas, the design process is just that, a process, and I was still quite new when making this. Thanks for taking the time to share your expertise with the audience 💛
@lomicwindАй бұрын
Already knew a lot of "tricks" from your videos (like projection cam/surface, depth, angle) but it downed on me that I had no idea about skewing shapes ! Man this will unlock so much possibilities !! One thing I took too is the fact that you can search for stickers directly from the livery editor, don't know why I was never checking this way when I don't find an appropriate shape. Regarding the tip at 3:02, it looks like the resulting shape on the other side is a bit different, it does not cover exactly the same areas. Thanks a lot for taking the time to make those videos, there are lot of things to catch. No I "just" need good ideas to make nice liveries, knowing the techniques is not enough alas.

I hope that this will help me put some more Bluey characters into GT7 since I don't have a PC. After all, they're aren't many Bluey characters in the game. However, when I downloaded the app, its name changed to Linearity Curve, as well as some other features that changed.

Linearity curve is a tough sell these days. They sold to a larger company and the good features cost $ now.
