Being a fellow WBHS Laker, I can not express enough how happy I am for those kids! I've had the pleasure of working in the LINK program for 3 of my 4 years as a student. As a fellow mentor, I have had the pleasure of being to work with these students both one-on-one and in a classroom setting. These kids have taught me many things. With amazing staff of Mrs. Kozicki, Mrs. Shafron, Mrs. Hurley, and Mr. Jones, these kids are able to show their potentials. Throughout my time, I've been able to see these kids become successful and truly be able to show their talents. This has inspired me to become a child psychologist and because I love working with individuals such as these students. Being able to go to prom with what these kids have gone through truly makes memories of a lifetime for them and for those who witness them. I'm very honored to be able to have worked with these amazing students throughout high school. Go Lakers🐊

these so called proposals with special needs students is usually fake pity feel good crap, this is not real love, and in most cases not even a real friendship, i would know, i worked in social services for over 20 years, and most of the students are not actually friends with our special populations outside or after school , that is just the sad reality of it.
@demon45ize3 жыл бұрын
unfortunately you are correct as most SPED students live outside of the schools boundries-- yet in the District-- and are bused into schools with with programs for SPED's

@@demon45ize True, but with or without that issue, the relationships with special populations, and the general community is not genuine, aka the "friendship " usually ends once school let’s out, it’s not something that is real, it’s not a relationship that has any ties out side of school hours

@@Shannonbarnesdr1 oh my goodness are you kidding me that is NOT TRUE AT ALL!! of course they are genuine whether they are outside of school or not and whether you like it or not too and of course they have such big hearts to people including me and God absolutely bless those people so much and also they actually invite them to things like movies and dinner just like they do to me so Think about that.
