Abbie and Isaiah are back at camp for the one day mini-camp that they hold twice a year. She's SO excited to be here and it put her into such a great mood.

i was actually impressed by abbies mental ability from the jewellery packaging scene. She struggled to do it due to her stimming but she, so effortlessly, thought to stretch the pink envelope to fit the jewellery better(17:38). She would also pick smaller objects instead of the "correct" ones to put inside the envelope cause she could identify that those were easier to manage for her. She maybe wasn't doing the correct thing but she was doing the logical thing.

Her smile when you drove into camp was so joyous! And I think when you were sitting in the car I think I heard Abbie as if she was humming a tune she might have listened to at camp. Would have to go back to the exact moment to find it to tell you when it happened. I love her independence helping Cilla with the packages and putting the ornaments into bags she did great! No wonder Asa cried! So proud of Abbie shes gorgeous!

“Don’t take for granted the little joys in life.” I love that and I love your channel. I recently stumbled upon your channel while scrolling on Facebook last month. I just graduated college this past Friday with a bachelors in science. I majored in child development and for my last semester I student taught in an inclusive classroom with children ages 3-5. Several of them have autism and I remember walking into this class afraid I wouldn’t be able to create developmentally appropriate activities for the kids. But as I’m beginning a new chapter in my life, those 12 children in the preschool classroom hold a special place in my heart the way Abbie does. Those 12 amazing children have taught me so much more than what I could have taught them in the past 5 months. Now that I won’t be in an inclusive classroom, I know that I will learn a lot through your channel where I have learned to never take for granted the little joys in life. ❤️

Youre so right Ace - STOP & SMELL THE ROSES. In 2017 i had cancer surgery, 2018 i had to have sinus surgery as part of my eye transplant however they found a tumor, so in Jan 2019 they removed the tumour from behind my nose under my eye and unfortunately due to a surgical breach i sustained swelling internally til Aug 2019 then my eye transplant took place begining of Dec 2019... one would say ive been sick 3 years in a row... many say im a workaholic and finally ive learnt whats truly important and thats my family and stopping to smell the roses every now and again is ok, so thank you for the reminder - ps: love your family Abi is gorgeous.
