What a conundrum, I thought the chief of services staff reported to the president and the minister of defence who then consulted the national security council and of course the Prime Minister....what is the Indian president doing?

UPDATE OCTOBER 2014: India's new leader presses forward with a "Buy India" program to favor national defense firms. Unfortunately, India now imports 70% of its armaments. This was recently highlighted by the embarassing "emergency" purchase of T-90 tank ammo from Russia (at high prices), due to India's inability to manufacture the shells at home. India has long been the "dumping ground" for outdated weapons from the USSR, UK, France, & others. Her ability to design and produce indigenous weapons has largely been a failure - delaying needed force upgrades. INDIA - PRAY FOR PEACE !
