How did a EA-18G Growler fly 1,100 mph into Mount Rainer on October 15th, 2024 ? There were no bodies to recover. Mount Rainer, an tall active volcano with the highest prominence, 14,410 feet , in the lower 48 .

Was the helo on a TACAN approach? I guess I'm wondering about the unlikely event of a problem with frequencies, as vortac and tacan are quite different, and could certainly result in a collision.
