Special washing machine cleaner; Is it better than citric acid?

Agreed i always use citric acid as well or a dishwasher tablet on drum clean if it has one or a 90 and then just a cleaning toothbrush for seal and inside of draw (i put actual draw in dishwasher if safe) the only time i buy a "cleaner" if for dishwasher

I actually noticed that the washing machine cleaners work better for removing gunk,build up etc. but citric acid is better ls better for limescale

What about detergent residue. What is best for that. You run the machine empty and find the water has foam that does not dissipate as quick

nah, they are quite expensive, better are citric acid/dishwasher tablet/vinegar. even calgon is bad for the drum. As Samsung’s manual said:” DO NOT USE SPECIAL DRJM CLEANERS, AS IT CAN ATTACH DRUM.”

since I did not get a timely reply I went searching and notice it is in the support for Samsung Australia. How can you descale the machine then? It will not descale itself with nothing in the tub clean. So ignore this advice.

To be honest, I think the reason why it was rubbish is because of the stupidly low water level. I would probably try again with a higher water level but if it doesn’t make a difference with a higher water level, I would call it a waste of money.

There used to be a washing machine cleaner twenty years ago that genuinely was good, but it was cheap as well, was recommended to us by a washing machine engineer, can't remember what it was called but it was sold in Home Bargains. It made a 25-year-old machine we inherited like new again. Probably contained ingredients that aren't allowed anymore 😅

It’s Me Again! Btw I only recommend you To disassemble The drum and clean it with an pressure washer Thats The only best option for me… Acids Won’t clean it because they are thick Dirt and solid. Use something like a metal wire brush I hope i helped you and all! Bye

disassembling drum & outer tub is too much time consuming, also not all front load washing machines use split tub to allow you remove the drum easily, and what if it is the machine that uses sealed tub, and how could you remove it? good luck, you have to use something to cut outer tub and pay attention that you might accidentally damage through the drum, even resealing the tub won't help you for longer as it can cause leak on any time

This is not the right product for descaling it is for removing odours. The limescale remover is in a triangular shape bottle, is in liquid form and costs more. Oh, I see in your market this scale remover is ONLY for small appliances. Better not use it in your washing machine then. It will remove the shine from the drum.
