While the zebra escaped the croc, it's injury is pretty severe. It can barely stand or walk, and from the photos on flickr looks as though the real extent of the injuries are on it's underside where the weakened hind leg meets the body (the final photos in the series show great amounts of blood on the inside of the leg mentioned) Were you able to find out if the zebra survived for a decent amount of time?

Damn that zebra's a badass! Mad props to the zebra. And to people that ask why the camera people didn't help, you first need to ask yourself, would you jump into water full of hippos (which can be aggressive) and crocs to save a zebra that might just kick you into the water for freaking it out? It would be kinda stupid

He is still in adrenaline shock, which suppresses some of the pain. My guess he will end up laying down somewhere and won't stand up no more. This video needs considerable editing and stabilizing. It appears that the hippos were trying to help, but it's not clear and did the hippo attack and eat the zebra in bushes? Hard to watch, but natural.

Description of modern-day tourism: Man buys expensive video equipment for ecosafari but doesn't learn how to use it before trip. Man is eaten by hyenas while playing with new toy. Hyenas take video of other tourists rushing to escape park. Hyenas sell video to South African news station. Hyenas trade video equipment for diamonds with stupid lion & wait for next bus.

That Zebra left with a serious injury to what looks like the hock . I doubt it lasted long after this encounter. Most likely ended up an easy meal for lions or another predator.

I love how hippopotamus always try to help other animals that are attacked by crocodile.
@SnaykEyes774 жыл бұрын
That's actually not true. Hippos may inadvertently help in some cases but I can guarantee you, that was not their intent. Hippo's are extremely territorial animals and will defend that territory vigorously. Whether it's a crocodile, impala, gazelle or even a human, it doesn't matter, if they believe their territory is being encroached upon, they will attack. I've attached a couple of links below if you want to see what hippos are really like. www.nationalgeographic.com/animals/2018/08/crocodile-hippopotamus-impala-video-news/ kzbin.info/www/bejne/imO7n4RqfbCGjMU

@@SnaykEyes77 I used to think hippos were cute and cuddly. Then, I saw a video where a male hippo became unglued at a baby male hippo and his mom in his vicinity. The adult male hippo grabbed the baby hippo, thrashed him from side to side and then drowned him.

@@SnaykEyes77 thanks I was going to say the same thing they did that because a crocodile and the zebra were both in their territorythat's why at first they were also attacking the zebra and not just the crocodile
