Не спасли, а изгнали со своей территории нарушителя спокойствия (бегемоты очень территориальны); им плевать на козюльку, они бы и сами ее продырявили, если бы она чуть замешкалась после "спасения". 2. Обрекли тем самым на более медленную смерть, со сломанной ногой антилопа не жилец. Хорошо, если до конца дня ее найдут львы -- те хоть перед банкетом прикончат быстро, гораздо хуже, если их опередят гиены или гиеновидные собаки, эти твари будут жрать живьем.

My brother you did not realise that how much struggle he has done to escape this ordeal. Had he given up early he would have been goes into stomach through cruel jaws. The cricket would have eaten him alive or had drown into water mercilessly. I salute his struggle. In humans lives there are such moments when they are stranded in odd circumstances and no sooner they give up, they are gone. As regards the life of this wildebeest, this poor creature is made a part of food chain of carnivores. Irrespective of the broken hoaf, his days are numbered any way.
