Specific steam consumption is defined as the amount steam consume to develop the 1Kw of Power output
Significance of SSC-
Higher the SSC, larger the size of power plant, higher the operating cost of thermal power plant
Heat rate is defined as th amount of heat supplied to generate 1KW of shaft output

how if the turbine are HP, IP, and LP turbin. There are 3 turbine and each results their MW ?

so the work done will change ,like for each turbine find out work done and then calculate SSC

KJ and KWhr are same... therefor heat rate doesn't have a unit.
