A ride out to spectacular Mount Dale, Western Australia. Probably one of the most impressive and scenic viewpoints in the Perth hills area, 1,700ft Mount Dale gives a 360° panoramic view over endless eucalypt forest that’s only broken by the vertical towers of Perth’s cbd just visible over 80km away. Trail bike, bicycle, 4WD, all are great ways to travel the approx 40kms of dirt road that starts when you leave the tarmac near Mundaring Weir road.

A very special spot Mandy. The best is yet to come! We had a trip out to an eagle nest with a mate of mine (eagle man) where I filmed an eagle being weighed and banded. It was an amazing experience for Eia & me.

Quite a production Andy, beautifully crafted! Showing your journey there really helps convey the special feeling of solitude and absorbtion into that great forest.

Especially with those sounds, I was there for a minute. Thanx! We were in Down Under for eight days, 27 years ago, waiting for our Honda XLV750R that never came, because it was stuck in Bangkok. So we got to try it a second time! :-) Greetingz, Wim

You're welcome Wim. The scenery and climate are made for m/cycle touring, that was my bro's bike, but gave me a sense of freedom. I used to own a Suzy DR650 when I lived in WA and Mt Dale was a regular trip for me, a very special spot indeed. Greetings from a cold and dark UK.

@@MrAndyballard Haha, yes, I still can get the memory back of how it felt, the first time I stepped on my own motorbike and hit the road. Freedom! :-) And well, even here, in the south of Greece, it's nasty weather, so don't be jaleous! We had hail for the twentiest time in two weeks!

You're over there then Andy. It sure is a vast open space. I trust you took some survival essentials out with you. Beautiful bush. Mark
