The JEM Trail in Hurricane Valley, Utah is recommended for mountain bikers and hikers. It is a singletrack trail which is 6.7 miles in length. The trail consists of mostly smooth singletrack (with a few rocky sections thrown in to make it interesting). The Jem trail is known for its fast downhill riding. This trail is a classic. The first to be ridden in the area by early mountain biking pioneers, in the early 1990's and it has inspired the trail system that exists today.
SAFETY NOTE #1: This trail has a difficulty level of Green/Moderate/Easiest. However, at about 0.75 miles, there is one nasty steep downhill section that takes the trail from mesa top to wash bottom. Ride this section with care (good riders only). You’ll know when you get there as a fenceline rideover comes just before the drop off the mesa.
The trail then continues in the wash for a short bit before popping out back up to the surface. There are great views of the numerous surrounding mesas, the Virgin River, and the sandstone towers of Zion National Park.
SAFETY NOTE #2: One section of the JEM Trail is now one way. From the JEM Trailhead North to the intersection of Goosebumps Trail (1.41 miles) the direction of use is North (downhill). Riders returning to the Jem Trailhead will use the Dead Ringer trail.

=THE BIKE RIDEZ STORY & MISSION=
We are e-bike explorers! This channel is continuing to evolve. The current focus is the scenic beauty and peaceful landscape of the trails we ride, not the actual mountain bike riding or e-bikes we are ridding. Although we thoroughly love riding our eMTBs for exercise and adventure, bike riding is our primary form of meditation and stress relief. Our bike rides allow for a few hours without our phones where we can stay focused on being in the moment. Best of all we get to share with you some of the best and most spectacular scenic bike trails in the United States. At BikeRidez, it's not always about the ride, it's about the view!

Steep and scary and close to the edge, probably above my comfort level. Amazing storm clouds and beautiful mesa’s thanks for taking us along.

Hi Doug! When I watched the video back 50+ times to edit the video I saw the exposure looked a bit scary. However, I don't remember it feeling that way when we rode. When you're on the trail your eyes are focused ahead and you don't even notice the 2,000 ft drop to the ground. There are still a ton of trails in this one area. You could spend all day riding there. I highly recommend that you give it a whirl!
