Top 10 MTB Trails near St George, Utah - Everything you need to know!

In this video, I show you my list of the top 10 mountain bike trails within a 50 minute drive of St. George Utah. I will also provide a brief 30 second highlight video of each of these 10 rides, so you can decide for yourself whether these trails for you. I typically base my ride vacation from St. George as the largest community within the region, but you could equally base your vacation from nearby Hurricane, Virgin or Cedar City.

Thanks for the compliment! I cant comment on the e-bike friendliness of the trails but you can probably find out by looking the trails up on Trailforks. Most of these trails are more cross-country type trails which don’t really involve big climbs. Thanks for watching!!

Aren't you afraid of mountain lions when mountain biking? Being on a bike puts you in a particularly vulberable position.

I’ve never encountered a mountain lion…maybe I should be more concerned but I’m not. Back home I have encountered a number of bears…but I’ve always been able to slowly, carefully navigate around them.

@@ronsanderson99 I'm just bringing it up bc of this recent tragic attack in Northern California. You can't really react on a bike or pull out anything to protect yourself with. Do you think you are safer in groups?

@@Jose-sy1je You are definitely safer in groups. That is the preferred option, but you can't always find someone available at the same time to ride or is compatible with your trail preferences. So, I frequently ride on my own, but take many precautions about wildlife and riding harder features on the remote trails I ride. But, yea, nothing is perfect so there will always be some risk. I just try to be aware of it and minimize it the best I can.

Been riding in St George for 10 years. I ride in groups but do many solo night rides. I've encountered coyotes (they run away), foxes (they're curious and just look at you), huge owls, rabbits, etc. But never a mountain lion. The biggest threat here is rattle snakes, of which I've seen many.

@@senhorbaker the only “wild life” I’ve encountered in St.George was a turtle near the Turtle Wall trail…that was very cool! And yea, always wary of snakes!

Excellent top 10. There's definitely a few trails in there I wanna try in the future. I just posted my Thunder mountain ride on my channel too. That was an epic trail with a 24 km loop. One of my favourites
