I remember Lucy coming inside when it was cold and jumping on a bed and claiming it for herself. She was God the Almighty’s deer. How could it not be so? Who could not love her with her crooked tongue? Jimmy you are God’s shepherd for all His creations. The rain and snow falls on both the righteous and the wicked. Let the same fall on the deer, the elk, the turkeys, the ducks, vultures, geese and yes, the eagles at the ranch. May God bless the whole Houston, Apache, and Lucy families. When i was growing up in Northwest Washington State we had ayard stick to measure the snow on top of the picnic table. Didnt happen every year but we loved it ss kids.

We got 9” here in South Louisiana. The most snow in 130 years. No one alive today has seen that much snow in south Louisiana. It was pretty, but I’m glad it’s gone. It was cold and my heater went out.

The problem with having snow in the south is that there just isn’t the equipment to handle. Ya’all probably don’t have snow shovels. I’ve lived in KY & SC. Even CLE & OH don’t handle the snow like we do in NY. Totally understood. We’re kinda light on snow this year…maybe 60”. So far. But I’m glad you’ve been experiencing the beauty of the deer in snow. ❄️❄️❄️
