Lol, no dancing in the wellies? The algorithm just served you up and I'm quite enjoying your vids. The random dancing in the middle of the beautiful nature and photography vids is a great change in pace from all of the much too serious photography KZbin vids I've stumbled across. It adds a great entertainment aspect and I think you pull it off well. I also get a kick out of all the stumbling around. I hope you don't end up twisting an ankle doing it. I'm also just really enjoying seeing your corner of the world through your eyes. You've got a good thing going here and I look forward to many videos to come, as long as you continue to enjoy making and sharing them.

I keep meaning to get down to that part of Wales as there is an abundance of waterfalls there. That wobbly branch at the foot of the main falls would drive me potty though!

This actually makes me miss living in South Wales haha. Strolling around the mountains and beaches in my Mini too... left soon after this video was made two years ago! Just started photography to take photos of Rally / race cars few months ago, but going back to wales for this is a must

Sgydau Sychryd is my favourite waterfall. I live only about 30 minutes drive from Dinas Rock car park so it's a convenient one for me. Lovely, well thought out compositions.

I liked that you increased your shutter speed for the last image - I think it worked well. Lovely. Glad you didn't end up in the water - I sure would have. ::))

I think sometimes choosing the footwear is the hardest part of getting ready for a photography adventure! On another note, That waterfall is so photogenic! The different layers/tiers just make for some great compositions!! Fantastic video Courtney!

Nice little adventure with some cracking images. It's slippery there even in dry weather. The logs below the falls are fairly new I reckon. atb Al

Interesting! I thought the ground was going to be a little more muddy and wet hence the boots, but my walking shoes would have had much better grip on those rocks! 😅 it's a gorgeous spot, hope to explore more of the falls close by soon. Thanks for watching, take care.

Great video. You really need to check out Korkers. They are incredible footwear. They all have interchangeable soles that attach to all of their different types of footwear. I have had many slips and falls in the past then I found Korkers. It’s like you are Spider-Man or Spider-Woman. Their neoprene boots are very warm, comfortable and when you get the soles that you can screw in 2 different types of spikes, you will stick to rocks, moss and slick trees. They even just came out with hiking shoes and sandals that both take the same interchangeable soles. Go check them out, you won’t regret it.

What a beautiful waterfall area and I like your composure ideas, I am jealous because around where I live in Edmonton Alberta there isn't any like that, I can appreciate both longer and shorter exposures of moving water, variety is good. That was cute the way you composed yourself after slipping in the water. I have those same 2 f mount lenses and I really like them.

Beautiful images. I really like your compositions. I see you put a lot of thought and care into your framing. Ive been shooting watefalls myself recently but doing it the old fashioned way on medium format film. I loaded some Fuji Velvia 50 into my Yashica TLR and used my 3 stop ND filter.

Good job, young lady. TBH, I am a bit tired of seeing over smooth water and sky in long exposure photography. Call me old fashioned, but for me water has to have texture and show flow, this conveys a sense of energy. You did a decent job of it. Quite beautiful photographs indeed.
@CourtneyVictoria2 жыл бұрын
I definitely used to be guilty of the over smooth water in my long exposure photography. I quite agree, I like to see a little texture and the flow of the water. Thank you for your lovely comment!

You made really nice photos and also gave useful advices. I would only need a tripod. I would give an advice for the footwear. The last time I went to a waterfall or a muddy place I brought my wellies in a bag and only put them on where I arrived to the wet place. So your feet would not get tired so quickly. :)

📸 Nikon D750 camera is small & light & affordable - used. Has 24mp & articulating LCD. Has x2 card slots & great dynamic range. 💡 My advice, buy one
@fixedfocusmediaofficial Жыл бұрын
Your lav mic most likely has an omnidirectional polar pattern which is why it picks up so much background noise. A cardioid polar pattern would help minimize background noise while not being too directional.

Love waterfalls! Love photographing them even more! Quick question for you. I notice you store your lenses in your back lens cap up. I've always stored mine lens cap down. Any particular reason you store yours lens cap up? Is it because it helps to keep the lens cap on when taking it out of the bag? Just curious
@CourtneyVictoria2 жыл бұрын
Honestly, there isn't a particular reason why! I've always done so. Storing them with the lens cap down feels sort of 'wrong' to me ha! Interesting spot though, I've never really consciously thought about how people store their lenses!
@NaturePhotoStudios2 жыл бұрын
@@CourtneyVictoria I’ve seen a few other photographers store their lenses that way, even on their shelves in their offices. I know I don’t trust putting them lens mount down on a shelf when they’re too heavy and always store mine in my office lens cap down. Didn’t know if there was a specific reason why some people do it but I thought maybe it keeps the lens cap from popping off in their bags. Not sure how I discovered one of your videos but really enjoy the content so I subscribed and am looking forward to new videos. Thanks for the reply!

Buy some waterproof socks and they are fine for some light paddling in hiking boots, your wobbly tripod was worrying me given your recent disaster. A lovely spot and two great waterfall shots
@CourtneyVictoria2 жыл бұрын
I'll look out for waterproof socks! I do keep a spare pair or two of regular ones in the car. No worries, I was being a little heavy handed in the moment when my tripod wobbled but otherwise it was pretty stable throughout the shoot. I definitely don't want another accident ha! Thanks for watching!

If I know that I will get my feet wet, I bring a second pair of socks and change my socks on the return Those rubber boots are not the most comfortable to walk even small distance and they are so slippery on rocks, they are dangerous. I will wear rubber boots if I know I will need to stand in the water for a certain.
