But if I was this Ana, I would have went Bap or zen and broke shield from in spawn and just ripped him a new one. As a support player I’ve had an experience like this where I was targeted by a rein as Ana because I killed him early in the match and he was angry, the difference is I killed him two more times after that including at the very end of the match. I know he was fuming 😂

I honestly think that it's a mistake for rein to mess with a support the entire game, because having a tank is better than having a support, so if I'm the support in that game I'm happy that the rein wastes his time on a character less valuable than himself

My friend was a support when this kept happening to him with Sombra. In the end we just let it happen because we kept holding the point and eventually won, because the Sombra (who had the most kills) spent the entire time spawn trapping our Mercy but not helping her team push cart. So if it's working, no-one's coming for you lol

I know this Ana's pain. I was rooting for her to be able to slip past the Rein every time. It was satisfying to see her kind of troll him at the end of the match and that he alone cost his team the game. When I first started playing OW1 on PC back in like 2017/18, I was placed in like high Bronze, low Silver and I've had this exact thing happen to me. It is extraordinarily frustrating to be in that position, especially as a low rank player who is still figuring out the game. I have to tip my hat to the Ana for continuing to try and escape spawn and also just keeping their Rein occupied. As for the Rein - and this is just my opinion - I do have a hard time respecting players who go out of their way to bully one person on the enemy team for no reason. Especially when it's a tank v support or a tank v damage. I know it's just part of the game and such, but that doesn't mean I have to like it.

This rein reminded me of one I encountered recently. They seem to have something against me cause they keep on just trying to kill me to the point where they go the sneaky routes and just start swinging when they see me. I'm fortunate that my team noticed the pattern ( i kept on pinging the rein and basically almost spamming when I hit the sleep dart) and we won due to the peel and basically almost melting them eveytime. The experience was... interesting. and harrowing. lmao.

I had this happen to me as soldier at one point. It was on Gibraltar and I had a wrecking ball that wouldn’t let me leave spawn. I pretty much came to the conclusion that in the 4v4 that was happening on point it was worse for them to be down a tank than for us to be down a DPS. We won that game

I've had this exact scenario happen to me in quickplay, expect instead of the tank, it was the most bloodthirtsy tiktok Moira in existence. I would ping her, try to fight her, try to slip past, nothing was working. I'd usually go Brig to challenge this, but the other support picked her, so I was kinda SOL lol. We ended up winning, and the enemy team yelled at their moira for not healing lmao

My tank was like Moira I could use more heals and I explained what happened. they were just like oh... then when the game was ending(we lost overall) they proceeded to say these supports. hopefully this player builds more confidence with damage boost! it's scary at first because it really can feel like your team is going to die the second you stop healing them, but as you work on finding specific opportunities to damage boost (fire strikes at spawn doors on defense, Moira orb at spawn on defense, etc) it gets easier and easier, and you begin to feel more comfortable pushing the limits of what you can do. for example, today, i had a game with a Rammatra who was doing tank things and taking a lot of damage. he was constantly low, and tbh i was stepping on my Moira's toes by healing him a bit too much. but we were struggling to get a foothold so i decided to hard HARD pocket my Ashe unless Ramattra was basically 1 hp. it was hard, even though i love damage boost, because I'm rusty and relearning a lot of things about the game, BUT we ended up winning because i helped Ashe build bob 30% faster than they would have otherwise! Ashe and Bob clutched it at the end, and we wouldn't have been able to win without me making sure Ashe had ult by boosting them. TLDR i know it's really scary and you don't want your team to die, but working on increasing your damage boost use is SO rewarding. so hopefully this player finds little ways to start sneaking in more damage boost 💖

Man I am addicted to the blue beam. It took a while to break the yellow beam habit, but I had started to default blue beam unless my team started taking damage. And I still struggle with allowing my other support to focus healing the tank sometimes (not that you shouldn't heal the tank as mercy, but you shouldn't be pocketing most of the time). But unfortunately till I can get into high silver-low gold I am trying to support my team with Ana or Moira cause God damn it sucks to rely on your team for damage sometimes.

I've had two games recently - both in gold 1 - where I did 6.3k and 4.5k. it's up to you what you want to do, obviously, and I think the time of day can affect the average skill and type of player you'll run into. but I think mercy can be successful at any rank. it's just a matter of adapting your play style to that rank. your dps aren't doing much? hard pocket your tank and blue beam them. why invest resources on someone when it isn't paying off? a huge part of being successful with mercy in lower ranks is learning to identify who you need to enable on your team. sometimes it will be a cracked dps. other times it will be your Reinhardt because a damage boosted rein can kill a squishy really fast.

Reminded me of the time when I played Lifeweaver on unranked and flanking the Ashe and widow so many times that after half of the match, they both decide to aim for me first. In the next game, I got the widow and the Ashe again but I never think that they are the same person, before I started trolling as Lucio, I already got aimed by the Ashe and the widow, and I changed back to Lifeweaver to chased after them again, the whole both of the unranked game is just Ashe and widow chased after me and me making them annoyed by keep flanking them 😂 Also ps, I always "trolling" in unranked by playing supports other than my main (Mercy, Kiriko, Moira)
