Considering how he just held the trigger for the first kill but then ripped his aim down after the other 2 kills we saw, means for the first kill he just tapped the trigger, he was in more danger for the others so he instinctively "controlled" his aim. Aim assist doesn't aim for you. That's an aimbot 100%. Also, the way you can tell they were all headshots is when they hit it shows a double "X" instead of a normal one. Hacking for sure

(More details below) Tim I know that you know most of these things and they dont really need to be said but figured it might help out some of your audience a little. Just a quick summary so you dont have to read all of this comment hopefully, just this top paragraph. OPINION: HEAVILY LEANING TOWARDS THIS JUST BEING AIM ASSIST. Reasons are these: First of all, there isnt enough examples or gameplay for me to be sure one way or the other, but Id personally put it at about 70% that its legit and just aim assist, and about 30% chances that hes cheating. The 30% comes entirely from hitting nothing but headshots, as that is the only thing suspicious to me personally, but youll see in the 2nd paragraph how theres multiple ways it could be possible without cheating. The shots at the drone (and the down-right aim after 2nd kill) screams aim assist to me and is exactly what it looks like when the aim assist kicks off. Tim confirmed that there is no AA for shooting drones so it makes sense for his aim to get worse if he was indeed using a controller. I play on controller and have dealt with both of these situations, and I can personally attest that when the aim assist disables, it feels almost impossible to aim. (Id bet almost every controller player wouldve struggled to hit consistent shots on that specific drone due to the up/down movement). Next, regarding the 2nd kill in the window, your crosshairs will slightly move towards whichever direction you were pointing the right stick a moment before the aim assist went off. Meaning the weirdness after the 2nd kill is simply him countering the recoil by slightly pulling his right stick down and to the right, and then continuing that motion after he downs the enemy, but once he is downed and below the window, the aim assist gets disabled. Before you can realize youve downed/killed the enemy, youve already shot a few extra bullets and about a quarter-second has gone by where youre still holding the right stick in the same position you were when countering the recoil. You can see this a lot in the slow motion killcam at the end of a round of SnD; the crosshairs will move off the enemy immediately after they die because the aim assist gets disabled, and the player's sensitivity increases (at least compared to the sensitivity when the AA is still locked on). As for the headshots accuracy...that RAM7 build is insanely accurate with practically no recoil, and he was lying down for both kills. Lying down both decreases recoil and increases bullet accuracy, much like mounting your gun to a wall or table will (mounting still provides better recoil and accuracy control than lying down though). Next is the issue of people claiming that you dont get aim assist if you arent using the left stick/moving, and that is only half correct. There are 2 types of aim assist, rotational and slow-down. Rotational is paired to left stick and works when moving/strafing, but the slow-down is paired to the right stick and will work regardless of if youre standing still or lying down. A couple other things Id like to address that people are saying: Way too many of you are "100% positive it is cheating" when it is entirely possible it is legit. All you have to do to realize it might not be cheating is just ask yourself this: Is it theoretically possible in this game to hit 5-10 headshots in a row like that without cheating? The answer should obviously be yes to that, seeing as how the game doesnt have any feature to actively prevent perfect recoil control. It isnt like the game is coded to recognize that youve just hit 3 perfect shots in a row and now it is supposed to cause your next shot/s to miss no matter what you as a player do. Of course, it's unlikely to hit perfect headshots 2 times in a row like they guy in the clip did but let's not go around making hackusations with 100% certainty without some better proof than what we have here...which essentially is just a few minutes of gameplay and 2 questionable kills. Just because your aim assist and gameplay doesnt look like this, doesnt automatically mean that its aimbot lmao. This may be hard to hear for some of you, but all of us controller users get the same aim assist, and not all of us controller users are equal at utilizing it. Some are better than others. When you watch Shotzzy, Scump, or any professional player that uses a controller to play, do you think they are cheating too just because their aim is much better than yours? Probably not, so I dont know why it is so hard for a lot of you to fathom that the player in Tim's clip could just be really good at aiming. Or, maybe he just got lucky to have back-to-back moments where you just dont miss a shot. I know Ive had moments like that and I'd bet most of you have as well. Sure, it's rare and maybe only 1 out of every 100+ kills i get looks close to that...but Ive absolutely had kills where all i hit was headshots and they died extra fast due to it. All in all, to me it is not that crazy to think this guy either is just really good at controlling recoil, was just cracked that day, or just got sort of lucky by having his average 1 in 100 moment happen in back-to-back kills. From here on ill just be re-going over my points above in slightly more depth. The Ram7 build is a minimal recoil build and wouldnt need much counter-aim to be done even if he was moving, but he was lying down in both clips. Lying down like this greatly reduces recoil, just like mounting your weapon. Next, the drone clip and the downwards pull after 2nd kill are what REALLY convinces me that this is just aim assist. Him not being able to hit the drone is due to exactly what you brought up Tim, there is no aim assist when shooting at them. When anyone plays a bunch and gets really used to aim assist, playing without it makes everyone trash all of a sudden, hence that terrible aim only at that moment. Most importantly to me is the moment right after the 2nd kill. Everyone here is saying that the aimbot tracked the downed enemy through the wall, but what I think happened is that since the enemy was downed and below the window, the aim assist kicked off right after getting the down, and so because he was slightly counter-aiming by pulling down and right on the stick for the kill, it naturally continued that way after downing the enemy. It happens all the time with controller users in multiplayer, and is especially noticeable during the final killcam in a round of search because the replay goes into slow mo for a little at the end of the killcam. You can see in those killcams the exact moment when the aim assist turns off because the player's aim will move away from the dead/falling enemy in whichever direction they were slightly holding the right stick towards while shooting/counter-aiming.

It *is* possible to have good aim and bad movement. I have decent (somewhere above average and below pro?) aim that carries over from other games, but I struggle with movement ESPECIALLY in CoD (and Apex I'd be useless, I'm sure). It got better when I was playing mostly through Verdansk, but it was never at the level people thought my aiming was at. That being said, it looked like cheating over aim assist to me.

To be fair, a lot of these weapons look similar and have similar names across different categories. I mean, we have what? 3 or 4 different TAQ's now, multiple variations of the m4 and M13, a couple of BAS, etc. Pair that with the fact that most run blueprints, you kind of need to identify the weapon based off of a small weapon icon, mag size, or the ammunition

All the people in chat claiming aim assist don’t know how aim assist works. It does not lock your reticle onto an enemy and follow like that. It slows your reticle and prevents it from flying past an enemy to make up for the lack of precision a thumb stick has. If I’m not mistaken, the reason it can look like it sticks to an enemy without any input is because of the inherent reticle drag. It doesn’t stick, it drags to ASSIST the AIM. Sometimes to the detriment of a controller player. With no input, a player can walk right past a reticle drag. It will also not work thru walls and does not drag to grenades or equipment, as many people pointed out. As a former controller player, I can say with confidence that this was not aim assist. Also before all the “no skill shill” claims come, I’ve played years with both and have more of an advantage with m&k than a controller. Higher skill ceiling with mouse, lower skill floor with controller. The debate is as cringe as the console wars… put it to rest. If you feel like controller is a cheat, use a controller and stfu. If you feel like m&k is a cheat, use m&k and stfu. The people arguing from either side just like to cry about whatever they died to and don’t want to admit that they got outplayed.
