One of my favorite beasts in the line. The Shadow Beasts have always been one of my favorite MOTU monsters. This figure was a dream come true. I bought 4 or 5 of these guys so I had a nasty group of them for Beastman to order around.

someone already mentioned the group name for gorillas. I guess if the shadowbeasts are a different but primate-like beast a new term like Expedition might work. 200X shadow beasts would need a more sinister term like and Abyss of Shadowbeasts or a Dread of Shadowbeasts.

Fun video! Thank you! If we're going to be coining terms today, I always felt the design of the shadow beasts -- especially seeing them sculpted -- was very Harryhausen-esque. I got a couple of these guys, but had Mattel gotten around to making the purple and black ones, I would've happily bought those, too.

TBH along with Gygor this was probably my least favorite MOTUC figure, but it's still awesome that we got them for fans that like the characters more than I do.

"Penumbra" is the correct word in academic literature. But I think, everyday Eternians usually describe it as a "murder". Like with crows (or whatever the equivalent of a crow in Eternia is ;)

Sorry Scot , all due respect , but the Shadow Beasts did NOT start off in the filmation series. Their first appearance was in the very first minicomic from Alcala , "He Man and the Power Sword" . Great series your making here nonetheless.
