Right?????? Doesn't matter you know you can do as many takes as you want and you're all alone JUST like before you hit the record button. My strategy us start recording everything I can knowing I'm going to delete most of it juts to get more comfortable. Still not there, not to the point where I feel professional enough. I do in fact rely on music & teaching to survive, so I can't afford to look like a fool haha

Doesn't every guitar brand attempt to design their guitars with low action?
@imhatchmantoo
@imhatchmantoo 10 ай бұрын
You don't want low action man. I mean maybe you do but what it does is limit your dynamic range. In other words..if I have low action then when I go to dig in with my pic hand the strings can only vibrate so much before they simply hit the frets and their ability to vibrate is limited. On top of that, I don't ever want to here fret spank noise, its not musical. But I get it, everybody kinda plays different.

@Kevin Michael I got a session 4 in 2018 to upgrade from my squier and it’s been great. The action right out of the box is so low it almost feels like a guitar, and I strongly prefer the blend knob and 3 band eq to individual volume and tone knobs

With the Reaper Custom I seriously hope Schecter is stepping into the gloss black and gloss white finish realm once again. Seriously their guitars are amazing for the most part, but I was never into funky figured tops, fancy colors, weird inlays and flashy binding many of their models offer. Imho that's the reason why metal players often prefer ESPs and Jacksons, they just look far more METAL. This looks insane for example

Keep practicing Glenn! You're getting better every video. I own over a dozen guitars ranging from $700-$5,000(mostly Ibanez incl. a MIJ M8M,DCM100 and Strandberg). Got my stepson two Schecter A7X(his favorite band)signature models($800 range) for his last 2 birthdays. I was going over them before surprising him with them to see what the fuss was about. They both had decent,very playable setups and were in tune right out of the box. The finishes and fretwork were immaculate and one even had a see thru cherry finish that has to be seen close up to be appreciated. Clean work on the fretmarkers and inlays,sturdy hardware and they felt solid and stable. My next guitar will be the Kenny Hickey(TON/Silvertomb) Signature model based on how well these were made,how fun they were to play and the feeling of quality and care they put into the guitars. I've played brand new guitars in the $2000 price range that had loose hardware,sharp or sloppy fretwork,poor setups and I had to work on them before I could actually even play them! It is so nice to be able to just get an affordable instrument and open the box and play it instead of reaching for sandpaper,fretfiles,screwdriver,allen wrench and soldering iron. Bravo Schecter! This channel and my experiences have made me a fan.

I've been a Schecter fan since I got my first Solo 6 Standard back in 2011 (singlecut). It was only $400 brand new and came with Grover tuners, GraphTech Tusq nut, TonePros bridge and tailpiece, Duncan Designed JB/59 pickups with coil tap on tone knob, and rubber around the edges of the volume and tone knobs (anti-slip). Guitar was perfectly set up, plays like a dream, and in tune out of the box. Most recently I picked up a recent year DJ Ashba signature...alder body with cool matte white with black racing stripes finish, maple neck with ebony board and cool "birds on a wire" inlays, EMG 81 bridge pickup and Sustainiac neck pickup, 3-way selector on lower horn, kill switch, single volume and no tone knob, dive only Floyd 1500 with SS screws, and a unique 2 over 4 headstock that allows straight string pull through the locking nut to the tuners. It's my main player. Really nicely spec'd for the $ and plays amazing. And due to the dive-only Floyd (like EVH guitars) it stays in tune...even if you break a string (which I haven't). This guitar flies under the radar, but is definitely worth checking out. It's like the ultimate super Strat IMO. They are both made in S Korea...compared to a Jackson X series Scott Ian King V that I also recently acquired made in Indonesia. It's nice, but the QC is just not on par with Schecter and they go cheap on the parts - plastic nut, cheaper bridge and tailpiece, no locking tuners. Schecter is just a better value for the $ IMO and the factory they use in S Korea does a really good job with QC.

I have it in a stand right next to my work desk and it begs me to play it all the time. Overall Schecter had earned my respect and I probably will get another one down the line. Epic brand!

Each of us has our own brand of guitar that we love yours is Schecter mine happens to be Ibanez which is what I've mainly played since the early 90's with a stint playing Esp for a few years, that Schecter looks beautiful and I think at the retail price you'd have to be impressed man! Schecter make quality instruments that are affordable and definitely playable enjoy the new axe Glenn she's a beauty I'm now eagerly awaiting to find out what's in box number 2!

I have the same V-1 myself. Bought an SLS C-1 a few months later. They are replacing the ESP I regrettfully sold. Very happy with both so far.

Man, Schecter kills it. I recently got a used Korean-made Hellraiser C7 and the build quality is phenomenal! My first 7 string and easily my favorite guitar I've owned in the 15 years I've been playing.

I have 3 different guitars from the Korea shop and they are all amazing. A slightly older diamond series solo ii, an Ltd ec 1000 fluence, and a Wylde Audio Barbarian, the ec and barbarian were both bought brand new and arrived in immaculate condition. The solo ii made me never want to pick up a Gibson lp again.

Always loved Schecter Guitars, since I saw Jerry Horton rocking a Tempest model on their music videos. I recently got a C-Platinum purple burst and it's spectacular! Playability, sound and finish are absurdly good. Way better than other more expensive guitars (not going to mention brands but we know which ones lol)

Love Schecter, I own two. Great fret work! I also own a Gibson Les Paul, which I love too. It's a Tribute model that I got for $1040, so I'm not that butt hurt that I paid a lot for a GLP. I can live with myself at that price point, ya know? Cheer! (nice playing, btw, and the strap lock test was awesome)

Sounds really good! For bass at least, the pickup you pluck the string over is what really changes the tone in addition to which pickup is selected. Playing close to bridge is used more for soloing and sounds thinner while playing over the neck pickup gives a fuller sound for each note. Maybe something for a video? Not sure if its as a big a deal with regular guitars as it is with bass.

The Schecter sun valley super shredder in the Green reign color is to die for! I just got one two days ago and it is the guitar of my dreams! The neck is fast and the Sustainiac is so much fun and so useful for that cool harmonic feedback or sustain of a note when you need it. The Green reign looks so 3D and is just something to behold. Best paint job ever!!!! A stage monster to be sure! I can`t brag enough about this guitar. It is so good!!!!!!!

I just saw these but I love the red reign. Only if they would get rid of sustanic and put a hardtail. I'd be sold. The elite or custom reaper ars my next choice unless get the solo apocalypse

With the title of this video, I was expecting/ hoping for a Schecter Solo review and demo. That would be a great Gibson vs. Schecter shoot out.
