Indeed. We have corrected this and all MK3’s can only be connected one way. Connecting it the wrong would not damage the mic however on the MK2. It just won’t pass sound.

Agreed. It may seem trivial to some but it IS important stuff when working in dimly lit vox booth's or have poorer vision than most. Not to mention it would completely "idiot proof" the thing which in my case is vital!! 😄

Ok if xlr can have a clip then whatever cable this is can have a clip. Don't rely on a red dot when you can still rotate and put it in whatever position you want, just have a detent in the mic port and a little knobby guy on the cable end and bam, no confusion, no mess, no accidents.

I just picked up a JZ V47 for a bargain price. They have incredible direct deals around this time of year. I don’t have any experience of the original Neumanns or the various other clones out there but this price made it the most attractive option for me at this time.

I wasn't at all surprised at how good of a spoken-word/acoustic guitar mic it is. But as a cab mic... wow! Yeah, that sounded great. I did NOT see that coming. But then, for mic evaluations, we're supposed to be listening not seeing, right? Just goes to prove that experimentation outside of the intended core use case of the gear you already own can yield some seriously good surprises. Save you a buck or two too.

Sweetwater currently has the Lewitt LCT 240 PRO Value Pack Condenser Microphone, with Accessories at $109 rigth now?! Holy crap! $218?! (cheap) That is a crazy deal for a pair decently engineered ( to be cheap) large-diaphragm cardioids, and with accessories?! Fucking hell, those would definitely be a decent drum overhead studio pair option, as well as being clear enough for most pocket studio vocal needs! Shit! Let’s say you’re using 2 Greenbacks and 2 V30s, would micing the same V30 produce different (audible) results between this setup and the same cab with 4x V30? I’m sure it would be easier to try with a 2x12

I’m trying to put together and EP with my “Rhetic” project (maybe you remember reviewing a few of my songs) and I’m doing the lyric / vocal portion with some issues….I bought an SM7B and everything is sounding pretty spot on…the problem is the lyrics….I feel like I might be suffering from imposter syndrome when it comes to writing them… some of the most impactful metal lyrics that I remember hearing over the many years like Slayer, Korn and even Slipknot are things that I just can’t imagine coming out of my own mouth… what is a good approach when it comes to writing lyrics… I thought if I tried to imagine myself is someone else like being a character in a movie but being at my age I find myself being overcritical…any suggestions on how to approach writing metal Lyrics without overthinking it? Write about what you are interested. The reason the stuff like Korn or slipknot might not sound right is because that’s not who you are. If you go up there pretending to be Corey Taylor, no one will care. If I go to listen to “Rhetic” I don’t want to hear Corey Taylor. That why he has his bands. Take influence in how they write, how they put words together, but sing about shit you like. You like dragons? Grab a pen and write a badass song about dragons, make it cheesy, make it badass, but just let it be you! You got this man! Remember sometimes that unsatisfied feeling is because you’re just not happy with it. Don’t overthink it. Maybe sit down and play a video game or movie and try to find a line that stands out to you. A single one liner can really inspire you.

I think new the spirit was 450 around then now they about 350 I traded an Xbox I got for 50 bucks for it and its great for everything its bidirectional omni directional and uni directional good for vocals or a room mic captures my drums great with only 1 mic all around a verry great mic can find them used for pretty cheap also
