I love anything Speccy Next related. I've done a few NextDAW tunes myself (videos are on my YT). Nine channels really is mind blowing after growing up with the Speccy and its limitations. Music on computers was always a love of mine. I had a few cassette tapes in my collection back in the day with Speccy tunes on them.

Darryl I remember you first talking about your purchased software for the Spectrum Next shortly after receiving it (including Next DAW) and that you were looking to produce some music. It's fantastic for the community you're following through on that. Great work.

@@stephenelliott7071 You have a great memory! My pleasure, Stephen. Aside from a few covers, I have about 10 original pieces completed, so you can expect a demo video of those soon.

Although SID was better than AY, one audio advantage the Spectrum 128K had over the Commodore 64 was that you could employ the beeper for in-game sounds without affecting the music on the AY.

Thanks for the vid! Thing on a Spring is a GREAT illustration of the problem you mentioned! I'm not a Next user but it is a cool project, and fascinating to learn about this stuff :-) I like your personality, you seem like a really nice bloke! :-)

Well the Xenon II theme music's full title was "Megablast (Hip Hop on Precinct 13)" so Bomb the Bass acknowledged the movie theme's inspiration.
